Re: Howlitzer's werewolf art

Awesomely amazing, Howlz! I love the whole anatomy of the picture, the shading of the fur, and the vicousness you gave all of your werewolves. Superb!
I'm thinking of getting photoshop, but I don't want to pay alot of money. Is it worth it? Does it take alot of time to master the art of fur?

Actually, like I may have said before, the copy of photoshop I have currently was sort of a dumb-shite-luck computer glitch that seems to have worked to my advantage. It was a free trial that I downloaded under the premise of it being a free trial, but the thingy that makes the trial stop working after 30 days seems to have broken when I installed it, and thus it has never run out....it just started acting like a full version the minute the trial should have expired hmm

But hey, I'm not complaining.

But yes, if you can afford it, Photoshop might be worth it. I recommend, though, that you look for a student discount on it somewhere. If you buy it directly from Adobe it's more than $600.....whereas if you get a student discount, you can get it in the $90-$150 range.
'
If you ask me, $600 is disgustingly overpriced. $90-$150 might still be expensive, but it's DEFINITELY worth that much if you're serious.

Try using GIMP punx.  It's an open source version of Photoshop and it's totally free.

I tried downloading it, but because I have dial-up, it said it would take 52 hours to download...pfft. hmm

yikes That's extremely expensive. I might just go for the free trial and keep getting it over and over again. Or does it not work that way?

No, it doesn't really work that way.

But where there's a free trial, there's bound to be somebody who can MAKE it work that way. hmm

You could have Dyv mail you a CD with GIMP (or mebbe Photoshop if he has it) since he lives in Canada as well.....That's a possibility hmm

Because the Photoshop free trial is a MUCH bigger download than GIMP....if it takes 52 hours to download GIMP (which is about 10 megs I think).....it would probably take about 1040 hours to download Photoshop, seeing as I believe it's 200 megs...

sooo 1040 hours.....divided by 24.....that's 43 days and 8 hours.

I don't think you want to be downloading it. hmm

Hhaaha! Yeah, it doesn't seem worth it waiting over a month for it to download. hmm But I'll see if I can speed up my dial up.
