Re: CORNERSTONE book by the Cadre Corner Studios

I have two wee comments smile

The dark werewolf's back hand, the one coming in for the swipe? With the thumb bent in like that, the profile is a little lost - it might look better with the thumb out, curved like the other fingers?

And the way the lighter werewolf is holding the spear is a little awkward for the motion he's going for - it would be a bit more natural if his fist were turned the other way.

Dat's it! It is an awesome pic - and combining werewolves and hieroglyphics?? How could you go wrong!! big_smile

RedStreak would be happy to hear that, WolfMontana. By the way, they're not both werewolves. Set (the one up in the air) is the wolf god and Anubis (the one close to the ground) is the jackal god. Notice his long ears.

Re: CORNERSTONE book by the Cadre Corner Studios

points noted... as for the hand, that was a question I had as well... however, after some study on the subject, to thrust the spear (not throw), it's accurate although awkward looking to some degree... thanks fot the notes though and I'll see what I can do about making it a bit less awkward. big_smile

That's the interesting thing with Ancient Egypt - they often have animal or animal-headed gods but there's nothing about were-animals at all.  More often the kind of monsters that frequented their folklore were ghosts...maybe the occassional crocodile but in terms of supernatural it was always some kind of spirit of ghost, often the specter of an angry ancestor whose tomb has been allowed to crumble.  So, with guys like Set and Anubis here, always remember they're gods, not werewolves...

...but of course being canine nevertheless it's only appropriate to showcase them here at the Werewolf Cafe cool

There's another Egyptian god with canine attributes... not quite sure what his name is, Wepawet or something like that. He might have been wolf-headed too. (I know Anubis was the jackal-headed one and also know of one with a bird's head).
