Re: Underworld 2 (aka "Underworld: Evolution")

Cool! it should be coming this halloween in theaters with a poster and teaser on the way.

I wonder if there will be zombies in this movie as well? they are the closet thing to vampires since both are the undead and to see zombies against vampires & werewolves would be awesome. Unless the zombies are either the fast moving movies ( like the ones from "Nightmare City", " 28 Days Later', "Dawn of the Dead 04", "Lifeforce" and " Return of the Living Dead") or the slow moving Romero and Fulci inspired zombies.

O.k., the second part of the movie "Underworld" is in post-production and will be titled "Underworld Evolution."  It has a page on Sony Pictures' website at http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/underworldevolution/ so I thought this would be a good time to open a forum for it, enjoy...

Re: Underworld 2 (aka "Underworld: Evolution")

I just read through this post for the first time.  God only knows how I missed it, but I don't know why everyone is so down on the werewolf wall climbing.  I'm just saying, it seemed like they were digging their claws in, thereby dug into the wall as opposed to clinging ala spider-man.

Also, in Teen Wolf, it wasn't mind control so much as scaring the clerk into freshly soiled panties.  Old men wear woman's underwear!

Maybe so, but in the movie, it was like the werewolves were weighless. In fact, one of the werewolves just jumped from one wall to the next wall at the opposite side without even touching the floor! They were just too big and heavy to be weighless so it was so fake-looking!

It's the running on the ceiling that is really goofy.

It doesn't look like they're gripping the wall - they don't sag towrd the floor at all. They don't shift upward to compensate. It's like they're running on a flat, horizontal surface except the surface is vertical.

It is only when they get shot, then they do fall off and hit the floor.

Re: Underworld 2 (aka "Underworld: Evolution")

You all make good points about wall the climbing.  I won't lie and say I like the idea of Spider-man esq werewolves, but it does add another dimension to the creatures that makes them more supernatural as well as dangerous.

Re: Underworld 2 (aka "Underworld: Evolution")

Why do FX guys always make werewolf heads disproportionate to their bodies?

Hm....I think I wait until I see the movie before I decide to like or dislike the way the werewolves look.

However must their bodies have to be still human-like?

I agree, this seems a bit weak.  Make the bodies more animal then human, I say.

Yeah, I like these Werewolves better than the ones in the first movie - but why are they hairless? Is it a fashion statement or something? Perhaps they're training for Olympic swimming - or maybe it's just rebellion - "Yeah I'm naked! Whatcha gonna do about it? Huh!?"

That trailer has made me really salivate for the movie. January is too far away. It looks way cool. Plus the werewolves are hairy. Good Times.
