I was in New York at the time and the moon did not turn red. It actually seemed to go through moon phases as it set while it became brighter. The phase was interesting since it went from bottom to top, instead of side to side.

If you want to see an awsome blood moon spend the fall in chicago and you'll see some really good blood moon's since the moon rises as the sun sets and the moon rises at the horizon of lake michigan

Those are beautiful pictures.

I've heard that about the blood moons. I've always been slightly scared of them. Dunno why. But so long as there isn't a ring around the moon, I'm okay (supposedly a ring around the moon means trouble.)
