Werewolves of London...

Anybody here heard of the song "Werewolves of London" by Warren Zevon?
By the way: I don't know about this but coincidently, there was a movie called "An American Werewolf in London"... Is it possible that it was based on the song or vice-versa?
And do you know any other songs about werewolves?

Re: Werewolves of London...

And another thing, heres the lyrics:

I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
Walking through the streets of Soho in the rain
He was looking for a place called Lee Ho Fook's
Going to get himself a big dish of beef chow mein
Werewolves of London

If you hear him howling around your kitchen door
Better not let him in
Little old lady got mutilated late last night
Werewolves of London again
Werewolves of London

He's the hairy-handed gent who ran amuck in Kent
Lately he's been overheard in Mayfair
Better stay away from him
He'll rip your lungs out, Jim
I'd like to meet his tailor
Werewolves of London

Well, I saw Lon Chaney walking with the Queen
Doing the
I saw Lon Chaney, Jr. walking with the Queen
Doing the
I saw a werewolf drinking a pina colada at Trader Vic's
His hair was perfect
Werewolves of London
Draw blood

There's a huge list of werewolf songs floating around here somewhere - have a look in the topic lists.

This is probably the best known werewolf song of them all though. The runner up would probably be Metallica's "Of Wolf and Man".

Hmm... Yeah, I guess many already knows this song... I guess I was just delighted when I searched the Youtube for werewolf songs and found this one... And oh, thanks for saying that there's a huge list of werewolf songs around here! big_smile

Every time I think I'm about to hear "Werewolves of London" on the radio, it turns out to be this song by Kid Rock:

Is nothing sacred for weres?!

"No, no, go not to Lethe, neither twist Wolf's-bane, tight-rooted. for its poisonous wine." -- Keats, "Ode to Melancholy"
