Hey, I'm just going by what the moderator told me happened after I left. Where did I get the story wrong?

well for starters you weren't tossed because your statements could not be countered..
more like because you wouldn't hush up long enough for me to translate between you
and some other folks.. big_smile

At the time you were there, there was, IIRC precisely ONE former therian. and I think one
otherkin as well.. maybe..

there was not a surge of therians saying they could be Were and christian because of
your presence there. after all, they weren't around to do so.
what was probably stated was that we did not want any to make that mistake..

*shrugs*

Re: Do you believe werewolves ever existed? Where did the idea come from?

Thanks for replying Flute. I was thinking that you were a "hit and runner".

I can't see how "you wouldn't hush up long enough for me to translate between you and some other folks" could happen on a forum. There are, after all serious time delays between replies. And I really didn't get to put forth much of a discussion - I was banned very quickly.

The message I got from the board explicitly said that I could not support Therianism as  compatible with Christianity on the forum. Also, I obviously couldn't know what happened after I was banned from the board. I'm just going by what (I think it was Kathy?) told me when she replied after my banning.

BTW, I recognized a few Therians there from other boards - you might not have known that they were Therians.

Sounds to me, though, if you had been able to "translate between me and other people", I might not have been banned. I'm rather curious about that and why it is so. Could you elaborate?

Are you going to be around long enough to discuss the issue?

Oog. As a side thought, if you do want to discuss it, we probably need to start another thread. We're sorta highjacking this one.

But to be fair, ExWitch is a site by Ex-Wicaan and Ex-Pagans who refuse to make statements like, "Witches are out to eat your babies." They have a pretty accurate view of the topic. Given their world view (which I share most of) they have a very vital and appropriate ministry, and they have no public essays (that I can find) regarding Theriansim. Of course, I can't get into the forums, so I don't know what's going on there.

Re: Do you believe werewolves ever existed? Where did the idea come from?

Not meaning to stir a pot that's already simmering, but I glanced at that website the other day to see what all the hooplah was about. Some of the things said on the website itself (not the forums) are very disagreeable with my perception of theology. The poison analogy, in particular, is a bit off the deep end in contrast to what they say they're trying to accomplish. And while the analogy isn't specifically hateful in its own right, it could easily serve as a sturdy foundation to people already teetering on extreme beliefs and prone to being misled.

Meh, I'm all about letting people preach whatever they want as long as they're trying to encourage people as a whole to simply get along with each other. But I do feel that site takes a bit of a negative approach.

I'm sorry...I'm a bit down today...my response would then be...why am I alone? However, I'll table that for another time. I'm alone because its beyond my control to be anything but. I'm going to let go and see what comes back.

Re: Do you believe werewolves ever existed? Where did the idea come from?

Hmmm.....poison....I can just imagine - but that one got by me. I suspect there's quite a lot opinion-wise that would be rather offensive. But most that you would find on Christian sites dealing with nonChristian religions would be a lot worse.

Actually, my problem with a lot of evangelical types is that they're not informing about Christianity - they're trying to bully people into living according to their own personal lifestyle. That's not supposed to be what evangelism is about.

And the only conclusion I can reach is, "Yes, Werewolves exist!"

How'd'ja like that segue. Huh? Huh?
