I hope that someone in Britain posts the new episode quickly when it comes! Guess I could expect earliest 5pm tomorrow here..... if someone posts it instantly! Quite excited.

Oh, no... just watched finale. Needed to end about 20 minutes earlier. Still.... laughing... at final scene. HAHAHAHAHA!

Ending made me cry :'(

I too indeed cry during the show, but I mean the LAST scene.... you know... the one with the coming of "something". That was hilarious.

Tulley said he had a son. No go.

Just finished watching the show (didn't know about it until a week ago); me and the roommate love it! Can't wait for season three.
I personally hate the idea of an American remake. What's wrong with enjoying the original British version? We inflict enough crap on them; I don't see why--oh, never mind. Answered my own question there. I guess it's pretty embarrassing to give a people endless reruns of Friends, and get something like this back in return.

Just finished the last episode of Season 2. Wow that got silly in the end!
"there are... forms... and we each get a number..."
o.O I imagine the actors were having a tough time NOT cracking up during the filming of that scene %)
And the last last scene - did it occur to the two of them to perhaps OPEN the thingy they were dribbling thingy onto? Perhaps just a wee bit more efficient than what they were doing?
And since when did folks of their kin FEEL extremes of ... um... thingy? [spoiler free is hard... maaan]

Got some big news to report. The first season of Being Human is coming out on DVD and BluRay in the USA and Canada on July 20th. The 2-disc set is supposed to include deleted scenes, video diaries, character profiles, and an interview with the show's creator.

OH MAN OH MAN. I JUST SAW A COMMERCIAL BUT I WAS ON THE COMPUTER. This girl was running I think. Couldn't tell if she had an accent or not but at the end it said "Being Human."
I can't tell if it's the British version coming here or the new USA version. anyone know? It did sound like the girl (ghost) but I think it was a white blonde in the promo.

For the US version, all I've found are audition videos on youtube for the werewolf role. In the auditions, the werewolf is renamed as Josh and the vampire is renamed as Aiden. I wonder if they're jumping on the OC drama bandwagon with this one, via Boston.

The american version won't be finished at least until 2011. That ad might be the american "airing" for the second season. The third season has been announced, but there is not release date yet, perhaps it could be in November or December.

Yeah I believe the ad is for the second season premeire on BBC America, that won't start until July. I do know that today they've begun production of the third season.

IIRC, the American remake is supposed to start airing some time this summer. Season 3 of the UK's version probably won't air until sometime next year (the production facilities for the show's new location are being contructed, and won't be ready until later this year/early next).

It is at least doubtful, mainly because at the present time the casting is not closed, and after filming the scenes they usually need more than 2 or 3 months in post-production (and more when you need some cool FX added). So it is impossible to finish it in summer. Yes, I've heard summer for the release date, but in the end of 2009 when they didn't know how that would be going on.

they've got a clip of season 2 up. Second season airs next week.

I also wish the little girl screaming would not have been an option. I was pretty satisfied that David's character in American Werewolf in London was in a good amount of pain, yet he maintained a very masculine/bestial ambience. This guy's screaming really takes me out and ruins the scene, for me, at least.
They seem to have fixed this since I last watched the show. But either they've edited in the beast over his girly screams, or they've edited out some of his whining, or a bit of both. And getting over that, I really like the show now. Go figure.

that's really sad some Americans have this "girly" mentality. Just sayin' and I hope they keep Being Human British! b/c that's what made it awesome. I hope they don't add a lot of American stuff to it. Leave that for the American remake version.
did you all see the preview to season 2 with him being a werewolf?

on the recap (watching now) George is dodgy b/c he needs to go and turn into a wolf and the moon is out, but his girl told him to come in the room and talk about I guess he didn't perform well or didn't last (wink wink), so how does that work in this series? He's holding his beast in until he can't anymore or does he turn at midnight (sorry I can't watch the marathon all the way through, if someone could tell me that's be great)

It's not a matter of American or British... it's just a matter of presentation, I guess. The very early clips (perhaps original pilot, not sure) were really nothing but a naked man screaming like a girl for an overly dramatic amount of time. I wasn't actually referring to the character of George or anything else other than the presentation of the transformation.
If it's any consolation, I tend to prefer the original British versions of other shows, so I expect this will be no different. And, as I said, I am very happy that I gave the show another go. I'll be playing catch-up over the next week or so.

I just watched all four of the aired episodes On Demand and, as always, Being Human delivers. By far the best vampire/werewolf show currently airing. Anywhere.

yeah sorry I'd rather watch The GATES, AND I watched Being Human today and this is the first time I turned it OFF. It was boring. I'll hit the forward button for George's transformations but that's it.
