This is somewhat off topic (don't kill me Busboy) but the other day I was in the supermarket and heard some little kinds (5-6?) howling like wolves. I thought it was pretty cool. Too bad it will probably crushed out of them as they grow older.

Most kids I see seeing me, just stare at me, interestedly, or just the blank baby stare. They have a reverse effect with me, they want to play around and they give me stuff for no reason. One time a child in church gave me his toy car, and his bottle, and was going right up to my face, trying to play. Another time, my best friends baby brother was continuisly smiling at me, and then one kid, he was an infant, and sleeping, I walked past, and he woke up.
I find this very weird...

Question: You know how poplar belief says that infants through toddlers are very intune with their six scence? Well, have you ever been stared at, or pointed at by that age group?
yes

my neighbors dog go's INSANE when i walk by (only me though...) kinda like he's afraid, cornered, and teritorial all in one (Especially when i look it in the eyes)

I guess as a wolf I'm a very luffable person, dogs and small kids go beserk in a good way around me. But as a human I suck. XO I'm very off putting, and people think I hate them...

I can get along with young kids really well a lot of them like my nature I guess, and the ladies really like a wolf who likes to cuddle

I like cuddles =3 But more with my Doggie. Until boys grow fur, I'm good.

I came across a scary thought while surfing the web, anyone think there are werewolf hunters? There was someone who seemed to think he knew what he was talking about. Even though he was completely off, he seemed pretty serious about it... I can't find anything else about the subject, but still, I froze staring at the link with werewolf and hunters in the same sentence...

It probably makes more sense to just worry about criminals in general. Even if there really are a few nutters out there that think they're hunting honest to God monsters, what are the odds you run into one? You probably won't go around telling every random person you meet that you're a were anyway.

True, but what happens if they find out? It's better to know who/what you're up against. With criminals it's common knowledge of how to protect yourself, but wolf hunters might have a couple of tricks up their sleeves. Although I'm not biting that whole pure silver bit-heck, just shoot a regular bullet through me and I'm dead-I don't really know my weaknesses...

Yeah I've also heard of these "werewolf hunters" which made me a little nervous. I went to their site and they were really serious they even had a were on their site telling them what we act like and signs to look out for and such, they also hunt vampires.

I use my name on the Internet - that's my real name and that's common knowledge. They can find out exactly where I live and work, easily - my names in the phone book - my address is there - that's common knowledge. It's been like that since 2000. Don't you think someone would have come after me by now if they were there?

I wonder if there are hunters on LI...*will check this out later*

-some time later-
I can't seem to find anything. Should I be relieved?

Question: Do any of you have an irrational fear of mirrors? I read that there is a superstition saying that Mirrors are prevention of werewolves, so I was wondering if it was my instinct, or my own self.
Offline
o.O Well, I have a very bad relationship with my mirror, but it has very little to do with werewolf prevention.
Offline
*nods* Well, it goes along with the Vampire myth, as how they have no reflection, I'm not completely filled in about it, but supposedly it affects weres.

I used to have a fear of mirrors, but only when it was dark. I had a dream where I looked in a mirror and saw my reflection as a corpse and for like...a year or so after that I was always afraid I'd look into a mirror and see something horrifying, something that wasn't me. I got over it by forcing myself to look into my mirror every night.

I dont have a fear of mirrors but I do tend to stare at my eyes a lot in mirrors.

As far as i know the silver mythy came from it being able to cut our skin because it is superior metal (cuts better) it also has mild healing properties
Steel<Silver
Human skin< our skin
I don't know about the whole silver alergy myth though
