Heh, it's not so bad, I just have to be more careful and considerate. I couldn't work a big factory place, because I wouldn't be able to see the different coloured bins, I'd have to know where they are and what each one is for, if the whole thing changes around a heap, I'm doomed. And with art, at least with a colouring pencil, you can colour backgrounds and just be careful to stroke in a certain way, for pencil, I have to bold outlines and then not put too much texture, it would be kinda nice to be lax for a bit, but meh.

and talking about work, started my new job 2 days ago, going for a 12 hour work day tomorrow *grimaces* on Saturday! sad but it's good work, I'm fully compatible with it, and it won't be dirt pay.

Re: The Artistic approach of Werer made public

Another thing I was told about colour is it helps with who is who, is that right? All I notice is subtle differences in posture, mood or body proportions to help me figure that out, like B.E.W has a mustache, Grayle has that hat and neck thing, Zage has wings (not subtle, but hey, it works for me), punx, an afro, etc, etc.

*shrug* I guess it would help, but I don't know just HOW much it helps.

Re: The Artistic approach of Werer made public

Thanks, both of you, I haven't finished yet, I need to make adjustments, and for Grayle's comment, then I have to ink it, and create a background. Another thing, I am now working for two jobs because I need to make more money to keep up with my everyday living, and so I will be getting more restricted in time, so maybe not so many pictures from now one, depends on how fast I get at drawing.

And a tutorial for drawing a male face will be put up lol

Re: The Artistic approach of Werer made public

Here it is, funally, the face tutorial. Sorry in advance if it's hard to see.

Figure 1: Draw a circle, make it faint so that you can rub it out, and draw slowly to get it right, it doesn't have to be perfect, but it's a base, the more perfect, the better.

Figure 2: Draw a cross section in the centre, faint and exact likewise to figure 1.

Figure 3: Draw a cone underneath, attached to the circle's widest part (about where the horizontal part of the cross section) remember faint and exact. All the base parts are done, now onto the more exact figure of the face.

Figure 4: Draw two semi circles on the horizontal line in the circle about halfway from the middle to the edge of the circle for the eyes.

Figure 5: At the base of the cone, draw a curved line about 2/3 of the way down, you can change the curve to two lines slanting if you find that easier, this will be the chin.

Figure 6: Draw a half of a love heart on each side of the head, the top of it reaching about the same height as the eyes are above the horizontal line for ears.

Figure 7: Draw a crescent shape to represent the smile about halfway between the circle and the add-on to the cone for a mouth. Now we're getting to details

Figure 8: Draw a little half circle in the ears to make it look more real.

Figure 9: Draw half a tear drop from about halfway between the horizontal line and the bottom of the circle to make the nose. (remember the nose will direct which way the face is pointing, so be attentive to which half of the teardrop you will draw.

Figure 10: Add a small circle touching the base of the horizontal line to make the iris of the eye, and add a small but visible dot in the iris so that it represents the pupil.

Figure 11: Draw symmetrical zigag lines above the eyes (only if you want to, you can be fancy if you want.)

Figure 12: Draw zigzag lines on the cone near the circle to show hair long enough to see below from the front (you don't have to do this, it's just something I like doing).

Figure 13: If you want, you can add other effects to the hair, like I have done, or you can leave it. And draw curved lines for the eyebrows, it may be tricky, but to get it right, here's a few guidelines, towards the centre to create an angry or mischevious effect, further to the side for a more sincere or neutral effect.

Figure 14: now, rub out those faint lines, or draw over the lines you want to keep with ink (if you're good enough or think you're good enough) and rub out the pencil, if you keep to pencil, rub out the faint lines to near incomprehension, and repencil in the things you want to keep.

Sorry again if you can't see the figures.

Re: The Artistic approach of Werer made public

I really wonder if my tutorials are good at all, has anyone took any of them and had a go at them? I have had no posts regarding to that, I am just curious, as always.

I'm sure they are. Though I know how to do anatomy, I'm sure there are people out there who need to know anatomy.

Re: The Artistic approach of Werer made public

I drew this up in order to get better at cars, posture, backgrounds, and kids! I've never drawn something like this before (duh wink) and I really like how it turned out, what do you other people think?

Re: The Artistic approach of Werer made public

Hey everyone, remember that picture of that girl with the power swirling around her that I drew? if not, here it is, in  COLOUR! tell me if it's good, my brother spent at least an hour on it. It is designed to  be the 'next' button for my comic 'Atakahio' now only if I knew how to put it in...

http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm126/WererStritchy/NextbuttonCOLOURED.jpg

and it's going to look about the size of our avatars when I'm finished with it.

smile I think it's neat - hard to see what it is when it's really small - you might want to up the contrast on the colors a little - alot of graphics programs will let you do that.
