In D&D version 4.0 you can choose "shifters" as a pc race. They can take were-form to increase their abilities.

I don't know. A gamer friend of mine, who is heavy into D&D, isn't digging all of the changes in 4.0.

Well I can understand.. there have been a lot of skills and powers that have been edited out for streamlining purposes.. However gameplay is much quicker and easier to get into..
