I'm curious myself... personally I think I will wait for the Director's Edition, but the unrated version may restore the movie to the way it was supposed to be before the studio cut, re-cast, and edited it to death.

Keep us updated on the differences!

Director's Editon? You think that they will do a director's editon too?

I hope so... especially seeing that the "unrated" version only has an extra two minutes over the theater version.  I want to see the film Wes Craven made, not the frankenstiened version.  sad

Did you watch it today?  Mine is in the mail, I should have it by tomorrow (hopefully) and plan to watch it over the weekend.  Did you see the part of the movie where they pan the kid's room and he has all that werewolf stuff in it, that's a sweet collection, ha, ha!  One of the forum members here worked on comics shown in that scene (from Moonstone).

Re: Cursed DVD

the two main characters never changed and there were scenes that had nothing to do with the movie

It's not the movie Wes made... the studio changed, edited, recast, and reshot a lot of it.  It was so bad Wes wanted his name removed from the movie (as we see, the studio kept it on anyway).

Re: Cursed DVD

Alex thanks for the background info. Poor Wes. ArmyGreyWolf - if there are no transformation scenes, then its hardly a werewolf movie.

I only hope that this won't keep Wes Craven from making another werewolf movie - in HIS WAY!

Re: Cursed DVD

well ther is a transformation scene.. one

ohh one more thing, i did like one corny thing about the whole movie, stupid as it is, the werewolf on the balcony turns around looks at them and flips them off, its in the nightclub scene towards the end...why would that be in a werewolf movie i really want to know...the only thing well done in the movie was werewolf zipper the dog.. that was a golden retriever to love...

Re: Cursed DVD

I'll answer that question about the werewolf flipping off the two main characters, AGW - because it's funny, and it's directed to the younger audience. I personally liked it, and it did made me laugh the first time any werewolf would flip anybody off in any werewolf film.

BTW, the "Cursed" DVD unedited version is now on UMB for the PSP console.

The dog was the best thing that could've happened in any werewolf film. Now, if cats had tasted werewolf blood... wink

"Dog Soldiers" rocked!  "Dog Soldiers" is pretty scarey compared to "Cursed" which is more on the funny side.

Re: Cursed DVD

It's now under the budget films (it was for $9.99 at Border's last time I picked it up from there). You should check out either Media Play or Best Buy for it, but you better hurry, because I heard it was going to be out of production soon, though don't quote me on that. *shrugs* wink
