Re: Cursed DVD

Thanks for the props, guys. And, I actually think they probably should have gone with Baio as the alpha werewolf in the end. He was playing himself, but still seemed like he could fit the role. He doesn't exactly look/act like Chachi anymore.

Hey Blackwolf. Okay, here's the SPOILER answer to your question (heads up everybody):

Yes, there's the big mystery of who the bad werewolves are, but you nailed them both. Judy is not the lead werewolf in the end, but she gets the most werewolf screentime.

"Good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun." -- "You'll shoot your eye out, kid!" -- "What's that star on the wall for?" -- "I've got a bad feeling about this." -- "I didn't get a 'harumph' outta that guy!" -- "You wanna talk to God? Let's go see him together. I've got nothing better to do."

Re: Cursed DVD

Dog Soldiers was great. I need to get it on DVD (6.99 at Circuit City I believe) and look forward to the sequel.

I'm still amazed at how much it costs to make a film, and most of the time I can't figure out where all the money went. I'm convinced that with just the basic equipment and a few friends I could make something decent for well under a mil, ha (if I knew how to use the basic equipment).

Yeah, to the teens it would be. But, the werewolf is supposed to be a bad guy in this one. *sigh* I hate these werewolf stereotypes of them being bad. :x

Tell me about it, Ninja....that stereotype gets so old so fast...*sigh*

Cool, a Dog Soldiers sequel in the works! It shows that a great plot and direction will always trump bloated F/X budget no plot flicks.

Yep. It was still fantastic. I really did love the werewolves from the film, so I can't wait to see the sequel.

Not to mention, I think the only human survivor from the first movie will be played again by the same man. wink

Re: Cursed DVD

I just saw Cursed on cable tv. Its good that I waited. So much promise, but so disappointing. Plot needs so much rework. Simply, a talented cast stuck with a bad script. Atleast, Judy Greer as a female werewolf was good idea; quite sexy too (aaaaaooooo!!!).

Re: Cursed DVD

Awful, awful movie. Don't bother renting or watching on television. Avoid it. A cliched, hackneyed disappointment. No wonder Wes Craven scrapped scenes and reshot it. Even the final version was dull.

Re: Cursed DVD

Okay i know it's hella late, but Cursed just came on tv. I was scared and I'm 26! I was so PISSED THAT MYA BIT IT , but that was the best part of the movie for me. Sometimes, it got to comedy when it should have been more horror. I mean they should have used serious takes instead of the comical takes.

So i researched it and it was sorta  a flop. I mean i figured. I saw the trailers and ads and I didn't even KNOW it was a werewolf movie which was DUMMMMMMMMMBBBBBBBB.  I thought it was a movie about being cursed as in jinkxed so that was dumb on their parts.

I did see there's an unrated version. Is it worth watching it or is it gonna be as stupid as Alien vs. Predator 1 unrated version (they threw paint on the wall and that was supposed to be blood splattered. WEEEEAAAAKKKKK)

LET ME KNOW PLEASE. THANKS

Re: Cursed DVD

okay so no one's seen teh unrated version. FINE I'LL WATCH IT AND THEN COMMENT. sheesh

and i liked the movie, it was scary (mya scene specifically, that's my girl to) but the acting and the light hearted ness made the movie bad. And i know christina ricci is a great actress (well she sounded fake and dumb again on the trailer of speed racer but... given her track record) ......

you know speaking of, I HATE HOW THEY SAY the acting in horror movies is bad and then they try to "copy" the bad acting. They did that in Freddy vs. Jason and i thought theacting was TERRIBLE, but it seemed like they were trying to mimic 80s movies acting. I don't remember getting out of the story and thinking of things like where's the actor's mark, or i wonder where the mic is while watching a scary movie. This movie reminded me of that, other than that i thought the movie was great.

anyway i'll watch it and let ya know

Re: Cursed DVD

Okay wow, did anyone find out if the unrated version has been redone? I mean 2 minutes of added footage but really what does that do? (It could do something) but were lines resaid or alternate cuts used or anything?
