It Will Never Be
Snowflakes glitter as they dance in the moonbeams
I glide as a white wolf through the forest, a ghost in the night
Puffs of air surround my face, my fur wards of the cold
I sit alone, eyes searching sadly
I want a mate, I want it to be him, but I know that can never be
I dream of him being like me, of us running through the woods
But I know it can never be
I raise my muzzle and sing my sorrowful song to the night
Off in the distance, maybe he can hear me calling for him
Maybe he thinks about me to, about what it would be like to be like me
The howl fades into the night
I know he doesn’t know about me, I know he doesn’t think of me, and never will
I can only wish, can only dream, can watch from afar and hope the feelings fade
I turn to the moon and thank her for her gift, because it makes forgetting that much easier
With that, I fade into the night… along with my love

Awe, that's such a nice poem - so emotionfull, too. I'm so glad to see you back writing again, it's been a bummer without you. Though this poem definately makes up for it
The structure is nice, as is the wording. Overall, a beautiful, vivid poem

Thanks Punx! I wrote this when I was down, thinkin' bout friends and life, always a good poetic mood!

I usually get my inspiration late at night - usually 2am, and that seems the only time.
