Jacob will have a bigger part in this one, I think.

dude of course he will. it's basically his and the werewolves part. luckly no vampires but i don't mind at all. i just hope it's a good movie.

*refuses to let herself slide into the gutter, REFUSES!!!*
That's good then. That he'll have... a bigger part.
Actually, all joking aside, I really quite liked the guy in Twilight. He was certainly more real than the pasty shuddering speedy gonzales vamp.

i guess so, but what's bugging me and i been thinking allot is the volturi. i wonder who's going 2 play as them. So far i heard that Jane the volturi vampire is going 2 b played by Dokata Fanning, seems fair. all though, she is small, i mean Jane.

I don't know if the rest of you all noticed, but Hardwicke (director of twilight) hated Jacob Black. I relly hope that the new director will stick to the storyline and keep the movie mostly about Jake.
TEAM JACOB all the way!

Too funny, I got a team Jacob T-shirt for Christmas.

lol aww serious i got the same thing 2.
But i think i could understand why she didn't like him, probably in this part she saw him annoying (not important in the story), or just a vampire lover. *shruggs*

I hope they don't kill the book. New Moon was my favorite, and I'd hate to see it destroyed.

well it was pretty good but it got pretty anoying at some point.

Ah that's not true, only about half of the book is about Jacob and only a fraction of that is really about the werewolves, then it makes a unprecedented turn and we have uber-emo vampire Edward back.
But on the bright side we also get Alice back.

I wonder about that, Jacob's small part was one of the key points in the book (didn't watch the movie yet) and is actually telling us a lot more about Bella as a character than a lot of the other scenes.
Not to mention that was one of the better executed, more believable events in the book, and you couldn't keep it out of the movie in sight of the second part where this early meeting becomes a key element to understand Jacobs affection for Bella.
So if she really didn't like it (or his character) that would tell a lot about her missing qualities as a storyteller.

Just a question. I haven't watched the movie nor read the books, but recently I've visited the website. Why there's only male werewolves? Something related with sexuality? Stupidity? Lack of a goof team of FX's? A lame script? Or are they "following" the book?
Offline
They are following the book. Later it is revealed that there is a female werewolf, but not till the 3rd book.

Not sure how I feel about this. He's been a good representative of the kind of werewolf I like (Lucian in Underworld), so I don't know if I want to see him as a vampire in this.

They're not werewolves.

While up until a few weeks ago I would agree with you, it's really just a matter of taste.
The definition of a werewolf, either by Dictionary http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/werewolf
or by Encyclopedia http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/top … 5/werewolf, is vague at best, and is, unfortunately, all-encompassing.
Thus, the definition of "werewolf" is a human that changes into a wolf, or wolf-like creature.
I am sorry to admit this, as personally, I look at shapeshifters and were-beasts as two different critters. I like my werewolves to be anthropomorphic (half-wolf, half-man). However, one cannot fight the fact that the shapeshifters in Twilight are, in fact, werewolves by definition. I wish Meyer had not included them in her romance novel, but nonetheless, they are there.
