Most realistic transformation

Out of all the werewolf movies that you have seen. Which one do you think has the most realistic transformation scene or that makes it seem like it's possible. If you want you can also put the least realistic as well.

Re: Most realistic transformation

American Werewolf has the most realistic transformation scene I've seen, which is a bit sad, when I consider the year it was made.

I'd Have To Say The Transformation Scene In The Morgue In THE HOWLING

Rick Baker Who Did The Special Effects In AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON Was Also Involved With The Special Effects In THE HOWLING

Re: Most realistic transformation

I would have to say the best that I have seen is the transformation in the Doctor Who episode "Tooth and Claw."

The Howling: New Moon Rising.  Without a doubt.  You simply can't deny it...you just...can't.

Just kidding. neutral *shivers*
Definitely "American Werewolf in London".

I would probably agree, not without giving credit to American Werewolf in London of course.  That was also the only decent cg werewolf transformation made to date.

I like the odd one in Romasanta, but of course Howling and AmWolf are the gold standard.

Re: Most realistic transformation

Definitely AWIL, considering you see the whole thing from start to finish, and the end beasty is very fearsome (though I wee bit bear like). I am very, very happy with the transformation style their going with in Being Human - it's very much a homage to AWIL. They're doing AWESOME.

Re: Most realistic transformation

AWIL and Howling are both tie for first in my opinion.

As far as worst, I am saying it was whichever Howling where the dude melts into goo and then a werewolf forms out of the goo.
