Sounds interesting.

The programme is already scheduled to air in the US on Animal Planet this Halloween, coinciding with the release of horror movie classic remake The Wolf Man.
I'm also wtf'ing at Animal Planet, but okay. Too bad it's not going to coincide with the Wolf Man theatrical release though.

Interesting that this would air on Animal Planet, but still it looks so cool! I'll definitely keep an eye out for it.

Since the whole point of the show is to present werewolves in a "realistic" way, my guess is that Animal Planet intends to dispel myths about wolves and wolf behavior during the show, using werewolves as a vessel for an overall theme of, "they're not monsters, this is scientific, real wolves don't behave like bloodthirsty killers, that's the human aspect at work." Just my guess.

Oh man, that make-up! It looks like the dog-people from the 90's "Island of Dr. Moreau".

Well, everything else would hardly have been "scientific".
I mean morphing bones and fur would look cool, but they are not really plausible.

Aha, but that depends on science . . . I wrote a huge thing justifying transformations scientifically, but no one read it.

It's on Animal Planet because SyFy couldn't produce an interesting movie (let alone a horror/sci-fi one) with a trillion dollar budget.
Animal planet at least knows it's target demographic. They love animals, dogs, wolves, cats, etc. They'll be MUCH more interested in that type of movie than whatever demographic "syfy" thinks they're attracting.
And I'd highly reccomment Hulu.com for catching reruns of these shows, if you're not looking to buy CD's and don't have TiVO.

On the topic, Walmart has been selling T-shirts with some really wicked wolf graphics on them by "Animal Planet". Couldn't help myself, had to pick up a couple of T's. They are really kinda cool!

My review:
I liked it, but was very disappointed in what it actually was. A new strain of rabies? Really? No moon? REALLY? Oh well. Enjoyable for what it was, incredibly disappointing for what it turned out to be.
