Fairly new? Hmmmmm. There's a band called Lemuria that are pop-punk, but they're not hard at all, haha. There is also RVIVR, who are a punk band that have a female vocalist, but also a male vocalist - her voice is really gravelly though, I dunno if that's what you're lookin' for. They released an album this year around April as well as a 7" just a couple days ago. Why do you ask?

(btw, again, music with screaming =/= screamo. )

Hahahahaha, naw, I vaguely know Paramore (the lead singer actually was a special guest at that free Weezer concert FSU won a year ago). I heard it like three months ago on the radio, found it on youtube, listened, and proceeded to forget it. Now I want to find it again thought.

Uhh...hmm. Well, other popular bands with female vocalists are Evanescence (ehh...), Nightwish (woo!), The Birthday Massacre (EW EW EW OH GOD EW), Flyleaf (meh), and Lacuna Coil (they're okay sometimes). But in all reality, I don't listen to the radio at all, so I don't think I'll know who it is...
