Re: werewolf romance books

RE: Patricia Briggs--her Mercy Thompson series is pretty darn good, and although only the first one is completely about werewolves, they're a major part of the rest of the series.  The Alpha and Omega series is rather dull.  I chalk it up to Briggs being better at adding a splash of romance to her fantasy writing, rather than just focusing on the romance itself.

Another interesting series (if it hasn't been mentioned here before) you might want to consider is Ilona Andrews's Kate Daniels books.  It's a post-magic apocalyptic series set in Atlanta.  The protagonist, Kate, is technically human, with some interesting twists.  Her main love interest is a werelion, although her "teenage werewolf sidekick" shows up quite a bit.  There are three books and one novella out right now; the author, interestingly enough, claims the first book sucks so bad she doesn't mind if people skip it.  It's certainly not up to par compared with the other two (the third is where Andrews really hits her stride), but I'd recommend reading it anyway, if only to learn the back stories of the main characters.

"They flee from me, that sometime did me seek/With naked foot stalking within my chamber./Once have I seen them gentle, tame, and meek/That now are wild and do not once remember/That sometime they have put themselves in danger/To take bread at my hand; and now they range,/Busily seeking in continual change."--Thomas Wyatt, The Lover Showeth How He Is Forsaken of Such as He Sometime Enjoyed

Lol! I like how you are all like "Thats not what a werewolf is like"
But everyone has there own opinion on what a werewolf should look like.
And so what if you dont like Stephanie Meyers ideas of werewolves.
Thats what she has interpreted them to be like and thats up to her. So dont say that shes crap! Cause thats what she wants her werewolves to look like!!

If I say I hate Stephanie Meyer, it's because she doesn't know a vampyre from a glitter pen.

Glitter pen . . .

Re: werewolf romance books

An interesting werewolf romance novel that I enjoyed is "Moon Dance" by S.P. Somtow. The interesting twist with this one is it's a historical romance with werewolves.

I know this post is old, but I'mma say something anyway.

Not sure if I would call "Moon Dance" a 'romance'. I remember there being little love in that book. lol
