Hey, I'm new here, and I'm just wondering how much of the werewolf community hates all things Twilight as much as I do?
I really, really hate that series.

it's another of thoe hollywood love stories with vamps, and werewolves.....i think i hate the fans base more than the movie it'' self thought.

My friend made me read it, and I nearly chucked the book into fire it was so bad. Seriously, how could the editer ALLOW a piece or crap such as that with such bad grammar out into the world? Oh yeah, because they KNEW it would make a humungous amount of money because TEENAGE GIRLS CAN BE THE STUPIDEST BREED OF PEOPLE ON THE PLANET! (no offence to any teenage girls, I AM one, but still...)

when the 1st movie came my GF(at the time) forced me to go see it with her....the frist time edward appeared , THE ENITER MOVIE THEARTER OF GIRLS SCREEMED....after it got quite i said (very loudly i might add) "the general I.Q. of the people in this room just dropped about 90pts."
needless to say i got some dirty looks.

I APPLAUD!
Nice. I have too many friends who are Twi-tards...it gets annoying. I end up having book-wars with them...I usually win...YAY LOGIC!
Offline
logic! wooo!

Except I use Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galazy style logic, that being crazy twisted backwards logic that basically confuses the hell out of my victims, yet also makes sense. WOOOT!

my house rules...
#1. please leave all common sense, critical and logic thinking at the door with your shoes. XD
#2. don't listen to anything i say
i could go on and on but i think i proved my point

I think you did too...AWESOME!
Have you, by any chance, read Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
Offline
nope....but i saw the movie...and i have no idea if the movie is as accurate as the book
Offline
It's...fairly accurate, but not quite as funny.
Offline
You should read it though, it's brilliant!
Offline
Ah, that can be understood.

Saw TWILIGHT...thought it was a fairly typical bad vampire romance. Worse than most but whatever.
Then found out some of my friends are over the moon (so to speak) about the series and have enjoyed tweaking them about it ever since. I mean, really....it's an ode to an abusive relationship. Bela is obviously fantasizing the whole 'vampire' thing to rationalize staying with Edward.
Meanwhile, the Hitchhiker's Guide series is a masterwork. The latest movie just barely scratched the surface of the series. Not sure I want to read the new, non-Douglas Adams book, tho....

Do I hate twilight?
No, why should I, there would be no "at the twilight's last gleaming" line without it, would there?
Besides, hate seems to be such a wasteful emotion to a harmless work of fantasy.
And I so agree on Adams!

a good/great selling werewolf movie = more werewolf movies being made. DUHHHHH. I wanna see new Moon, new trailer out, but they show too much.

I haven't been given the opportunity to hate it and I don't plan on watching it so no, I don't hate it simply because I don't have to endure it.

Ah no, it isn't totally "anti-"feminism, it just doesn't care for feminism that is a huge difference, it certainly is not very rational either, but for pete's sake it is about vampires and werewolves, how rational did you expect that to get?
Offline
Ummm...VERY? I'm sorry, but the vampire freaking SPARKLES. Vampires are MUCH more rational than THAT disco ball.
