Gil's All Fright Diner

Aside from being a fun book (by A. Lee Martinez) it looks like it's also being adapted to the big screen courtesy of Dreamworks Animation.

Re: Gil's All Fright Diner

... "Much like the "Twilight" series, "Gil's All Fright Diner" revolves around a vampire and a werewolf. Here, they are mismatched partners who battle zombies and try to save the world, after they stop in a diner in the desert that is a conduit for the supernatural.

We liked the odd couple aspect of the story, this vampire and werewolf who team to save the world from an ancient demon and his modern ally, a high school cheerleader who wants to be famous."

Much like the twilight series?!?!? AUGH!!!! *smacks an effigy of Edward Cullen around*

Erm... high school cheerleader who wants to be famous?? That's not really it. She wants to be powerful and bring about Armageddon. Little different.

Yeah, that "twilight" comparison had me shake my head, too. Well, let's just hope that the rest of that article is better researched. *sigh*

Re: Gil's All Fright Diner

Wait this sounds like that movie with the Angel (Sean Patrick Flannery?) and Tyrese going to the diner and then all these demons come in and an old granny demon crawls on the wall.

I might have heard of that book before. The character's names are Duke and Earl, am I right?
