Re: The Cabin in the Woods

I don't see anything that would indicate it being a werewolf film from the link you provided. I do kind of like Joss Whedon though. Firefly is awesome.

Although the tagline does make me chuckle.

By Jove you're absolutely correct good sir! Have a crumpet my good man!

Gotta admit though, this movie might turn into a "have every cabin horror flick plot in one movie so we can make fun of them all" film, like (God help us) Scary Movie. It's definitely on my watch list.

You couldn't have got that impression from the wiki page, did you?
Because that is saying essentially nothing.
Well, I only hope the movie is showing more originality than their tagline, tbh.

Re: The Cabin in the Woods

So is a werewolf wrangler a guy who wrangles werewolves, or a werewolf who happens to be a wrangler?

Inquiring minds need to know.

This movie's out. Go see it. It's awesome. And yes, there's a werewolf and the suit is awesome. Best horror movie of the year and ranks up there with Trick R Treat as a truly great modern horror film.

One additional question--do we get to see the werewolf transform?

No, the werewolf is in wolf form the entire time, and it's not used a huge amount, but when it's used, it's a badass, vicious creature. Mostly it's a guy in a well designed creature suit and then it's a CGI creature in one scene that, well, you just have to see the movie. I'm not spoiling that.

There's a werewolf and a hell of a lot more than that. The last third of the movie is BAD.ASS. Go see it, you won't be disappointed, at least I hope you won't be.

Re: The Cabin in the Woods

I've seen stuff about this since they first started making it, and with it coming out on Friday the 13th, and my absolute love for horror movies, I wanted to punch something when I didn't get to go see it. But then I wondered.. Is it worth seeing? =O
NightSlash, is it really as good as Trick 'R Treat? Because I found that movie amazing and if it's truly just as good I might find a way to go see it tonight

Re: The Cabin in the Woods

In my books it's as good as Trick r Treat but for different reasons. I'll definitely be having a double feature with both of those for Halloween night this year.

Ummmm this is better than Trick R Treat, sorry it is, just quality wise.I like Trick R Treat though

Wowwww. I just saw this. I need a stiff drink!!! Movie was bad #ss!!! The werewolf coould've been better. I was hoping the face for once (I know right) looked like the wolf face in the cabin. I will be seeing this again and definitely will go in the DVD stash.

Spread the word about this b/c wow did they advertise this? I've never seen a trailer. Also Thor Chris Hemsworth is in this and that dude from Grey's anatomy.

I hope they have some prequels, sequels or at least prequel comic books of this!!!!! Seriously  I agree I wanted to see other monsters besides the zombies. I mean the zombies were cool, but wow all the other monsters in thi

Yeah there's awerewolf. Old school style plus some parts CG. It's a Van Helsing type werewolf but dude in a suit. I don't wanna spoil it but GO SEE THIS The werewolf is in like 5 scenes, definitely not a cameo like the other monsters. What about that UNICORRN!!!er own versions would've been kick ass!!!! How many times (did they say in the movie?) do they need to sacrifice? Every year? 5 yrs? Decade?

Both. They had an animatronic upper body for some close-up shots and then Richard Cetrone (who does a lot of suit work in the Underworld films) was the werewolf when it was running around. They also used a bit of CGI to make the legs look more wolf-like without being fully CG.
