Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

They're replaying the first two episodes throughout the week. They'll probably show them again Monday night before the next new episode airs.

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

Okie, I am rather surprised by this show. It might be... urm 20 years young for me, but it has a little bit more weight than I expected. Unfortunate they're leaving the main characters transformation the way it is apparently (maybe that will evolve), but I'm liking the conflict they've shown so far. It's not campy.

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

According to the showrunner, Jeff Davis, for the first season Scott's transformation will be gradually augmented, though not radically different. Derek, who is a beta-class werewolf, will presumably transform into a more bestial-creature. No word on whether we'll see a transformation involving the highest-class alpha werewolf. Davis says he'd sketched out story arcs for future seasons (if they occur), and since Scott will gradually go from omega to beta, his transformation might change over time as well.

Very cool - would like to see things get more intense. Tonight's eppy seems to suggest that Scott's a 'beta'. The alpha looks more like my kinda werewolf yikes)

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

that did throw me off where Derek described both Scott and himself as betas. They've said Derek was born into being a werewolf which I thought made him different. And they are saying Derek's sister was indeed an alpha. And now an alpha is the one that bit Scott and Scott is part of his "pack". So color me confused on how it all fits, unless that's just what the show is wanting for us to get confused.  I do like this twist that Scott is in a pack that contains this dangerous unknown alpha. I wonder if they will play the angle where a pack leader can have influence over others. That would be interesting. I'd say the show has me pretty well hooked in terms of wanting to see how things play out.

I'm still having trouble with Posey's acting at times, but so far that's all that's really annoying me and I can deal with that

Started watching this show last week, and gotta say that it turned out better then I thought it would. Won't say much more at the moment, but I'll keep my eye on it.

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

Interesting to see more of the alpha werewolf in the latest eppy, though I kinda wish they hadn't shown so much of it. Awesome view of it running alongside the car - that actually freaked me out a little. big_smile One strange thing - the crossing of the threshold? I wonder if they're going to borrow from vampire lore for that, though no more was made of it.

I felt that way also, but then I thought maybe the father made his house "werewolf proof" starting with the threshold. But once he walked past it without anything happening I just gave up...

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

at first I took it as Scott just being nervous about being in a hunter's house, but I see how it could've been interpreted in different ways.

I am enjoying the show though. They are keeping the mystery and intrigue going nicely.  The issues around a romance with Scott and Allison are relevant, but thankfully they are not taking over every aspect like twilight and the vampire diaries do.  And Stiles is still remaining the most likeable.  I had to laugh at him telling derek he could "drag his little werewolf ass"

Agreed. The banter between Derek and Stiles was the definite highlight of the episode.

There's a sneak peek for next weeks eppy.
Very nice flash of the alpha werewolf's face. Very reminiscent of AWIL big_smile

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

definitely looks better than the flashes we've got of it so far. Guess they are saving money by not showing detail when it's just running around. I get that. I wonder if we'll get treated to the alpha transforming at all

Re: A new "Teen wolf" series

I read somewhere the alpha actors name, so apparently he will be human at some point.

I'm actually surprised they've shown as much of it so far as they have. I'm also surprised the thing can run without tripping over those long limbs. big_smile I love the full face preview from the still above, but the body shape is kinda wacked.

Actually the Alpha actor is a creature performer, so I'm assuming he's credited that for whenever the Alpha is non CGI, like when it attacked the girl hunter's car in the opening.
