Never seen it. What's it about?
And uh, shouldn't this be in the movies section?

Here's a link to the DVD movie at amazon.com: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ … 49-3973645
I liked the movie a lot, I thought Michael Pare was great as the werewolf. I know some people didn't like the transformation scene (but it was way better than "Dark Wolf"). I liked the story line and that it came from the dog's persective too (that's because it was based on the book titled "Thor"). I liked the 3 main characters in the film played by Michael Pare (as Ted), Mariel Hemmingway (as Janet) and Mason Gamble (as Brett). Oh, yeah, and the dog was an awesome actor (ha, ha). Here's a link to the book by Wayne Smith that this movie was based on: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de … mp;s=books

Yeah Dyv, I was thinking of buying the movie on amazon but I wanted to find out more info first!!

Dyv, read my last big post in the "Busboy 911" forum, it kinda mentioned that I might be dropping random questions in the members forum first (you know that would be hot topics/someone needs help/valued opinions/need a quick answer/etc.).

I still love the wolf and the transformation scene pretty much.

I liked the werewolf in it, not so much the effects. Next best thing to the VanHelsing werewolves and not 4-legged like the American Werewolf In London.
What I found hilarious was when the bad scam-artist came with an ax to kill the dog...only to end up encountering the wrong dog in the end.
Its not light-hearted. I'll admit a werewolf tearing out dracula's neck isn't "G" rated material either but thats almost mild to some of the violence Bad Moon deals at some points.
Rates better than the Howling to me, otherwise I wouldn't own the movie.

I think you may have heard about it before BEW, as it has come up in the forums in the past (but now for awhile now though).

Wolf Mama, on a side note, it is a scary werewolf movie, falls into the horror category.

the only thing Mr. Pare will be remembered for is his "Eddie and the cruisers" movies

Yeah, he was great in that, but he plays a great werewolf too.

I own this one...it is decent, for when it was done.
It is worth $9...lol.

I thought it was a great movie. It had some depth with the family in the movie being torn about due to his curse. Also the bond between the kid and his dog added to that depth. There were some pretty cool fight scenes with Thor (the German Shepard) and the Werewolf. I really liked the part where the mom had a dream where Thor turned into a werewolf. Pretty unexpected.

Yeah, I thought it was a good movie.

I enjoyed it. (In fact, I bought it). But it's rather made-for-TVish (except that it's rather explicit - hurrumph!). I think a lot of people didn't like it because they were expeccting a Werewolf movie. It isn't a Werewolf movie. It's a classic Disneyish dog movie that just happens to have a Werewolf in it. The Werewolf just happens to be the bad guy. Other than that, it's a formula dog movie. In fcat, the title of the book that it was made from was the name of the dog.

Yup...and also the way the dog and WW interacted...come on now, that damn dog would of been DEAD in 3 seconds...lol.
GRR!
It`s still worth $9 bucks and if you are like me you just go to the good scenes in the movie...and skip the dumb stuff.
