"Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

I decided to open a forum topic for the movie "Blood and Chocolate" as it was just posted on October 11th that this movie is now filming!  Here's a link to the internet movie database with the casting information as well as other information:
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0397044/

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

My friends said she read a little review of it somewhere (no idea where) but she did remember that it said that they butchered the story. <-_->
I still don't know how that's really possible, movie ain't out yet. <o_O>
I'll get the answer out of her somehow. big_smile

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

Interesting smile
Though, looking at those pictures, I dont recall reading in the book. Human bones? Guns? Ghost wolves?

"eschews prosthetic transformation FX in favor of digital transformations of the wild pack into actual wolves "
At least that sounds good smile (though I dont think they were 100% real wolves in the book...
Still looking forward to it.
I want the trailer!

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

Looks like the release date will be on January 26, 2007 from what I've been reading on-line, can't find an official website for the movie though.

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

This film has apparently been in the can for a year, which is never a good sign.  I'm not sure folks are understanding the true horror of what the Fangoria article is suggesting:

http://fangoria.com/news_article.php?id=3186

Note it says "in favor of digital transformations of the wild pack into actual wolves (see bottom photos)"

The last photo has a photo of a wolf surrounded by some Rainbow Bright glow-stuff.  Looks like these are going to be *poof* transformations + sparkles.

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

Huh, they never did that in the book. And if do recall right...they didn't changhe into full wolves. It was more like a hybrid form.

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

That's what it looks like to me. Probably Rome or something. In the book, it takes place in the US. In...ummm I think Maryland. Man, they really messed with the story...sad

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

yeah, the book takes place in maryland...

hmm. i think i may be bummed by this movie adaptaion of the book... but that's not really a surprise, seeing as it's a movie adaptaion of a book, and also it's a werewolf movie, which are usually letdowns (knamean? how many wolves here have seen "cursed?")

Re: "Blood and Chocolate" (the movie)

EW! Don't remind me of Cursed, NachoBoy. It was a real mess!  Wes Craven really fouled up that movie yet it wasn't all his fault. The movie got away from him and he couldn't do anything about it.
