Yipee! My first children's book "Brothers" has finally been published by the Greenville Family Partnership. I talk about it on the group's website http://www.gfpdrugfree.org/. Interestingly enough, its been pointed out to me that it shares themes with my horror novel Hour of the Beast, including a pair brothers one of whom is drawn over to the dark side. The characters in Brothers are canines too -- but German shepherds, not werewolves.

Nice review of my novel "Hour of the Beast" just posted at Parlor of Horror. Reviewer Michael Knight calls it "a fast-paced horror-thriller with lots of action, suspense, and comedic relief." http://parlorofhorror.wordpress.com/

When I was hawking my horror novel Hour of the Beast at horror conventions around the country, I found what closed the deal was throwing in the poster art for free. So for the month of Halloween, I'm giving away the way-cool werewolf poster by Martin McKenna for free with a purchase of the book. http://freedomshammer.wordpress.com
Speaking of Halloween, have you seen Hotel Transylvania? Hilarious. Adam Sandler, who's actually excellent when he chooses not to suck, does a wonderful job as Count Dracula. Tim Burton's style is evident, but without any of the dismal creepiness that might put off young kids.

Hello, just thought I'd introduce myself Congrats on the novel, by the way. I'll check it out

Also, I LOVED Hotel Transylvania! Sandler, as always, was amazing and I really loved his portrayal of Dracula- witty, sarcastic, doting- the character had so much depth. And Samberg! Man, the dyanamics of those two were simply incredible! I liked Mavis too, though I personally feel the movie really centered around Dracula and his friendship with Jonathan.

Writing this week's blog was fun. "Alien Breast Implants Growing in Popularity" http://freedomshammer.wordpress.com
Reminded me of my old days churning out stories for the Weekly World News.

Just watched "The Grey" at 2 a.m. on Netflix. Atmospheric survival (sort of) movie. Liam Neeson is astounding as always in Hemingway-esque role. Living proof testosterone doesn't always dip in middle age. One complaint: Heroes make the same dumb-ass move as in "30 Days of Night" -- leaving a place of comparative safety (the ruined plane) into worse danger. Here's a tip, campers. When surrounded by wolves, DON'T head into the woods. As one none-wolf expert in the party points out to Neeson's character, they don't know whether they're headed away from the den or toward it.

Thanks, Bloodlust. Let me know what you think. Oh, and hi Dira, long time no see. What are you doing for Halloween?
I just watched "Tucker and Dale Vs. Evil," a classic comedy of errors. A carload of air-head college students camping in the backwoods mistake a pair of dim-witted good ol' boys for hillbilly killers. Hilarity and over-the-top gore ensue. You'll love it.

In my blog this week, I review the movie "Werewolf: The Beast Among Us." It's a pretty well done B-movie about a band of werewolf-hunters for hire who come to save a town -- basically "The Magnificent Seven" vs. a werewolf! http://freedomshammer.wordpress.com
