It was still pretty innovative. In the documentry Rick was showing how the makeup moved along with the face -- even when Benecio moved his nose it was like the wolfman himself was moving instead of the actor under the makeup. It was also interesting that expression did show through. When Lawrence as the wolfman recognizes Gewn you can see his eyes soften then get vicious again when he sees the gun.
Anyway, just happy it was recognized. Werewolves get so little recognition these days ...
