Hey you guys, my name is Silver Rain, and I've been awakened to my therianthropy for almost five years now. This is my first time *really* being part of an active community, and I hope to enjoy it! So whats been going on?

Over time it has been getting more and more quiet here. Need moar fresh meat.

First, you need to understand that this isn't a Therian forum - it's a Werewolf Fan forum - it just happens to have enough Therians frequent it to warrant having a Therian section.
Second, the offline community is beginning to get more active than the onliine community.
And, finally, welcome.

Yeah, I know, but I consider this to be a small type of community. Just my opinion though. Also, I have no therians that I know of in my area so I rely on the Internet to keep in contact.
And thank you. Hope I didn't sound rude.

Also what other sites would you recommend?

No, oh no anything but Therian Wikia. You know most of articles there are writen by Sherlawk himself, and you DONT want to read them
For some articles to read visit
http://project-shift.org/category/therianthropy/ < good read for a newbie in topic
http://werelibrary.org/site/library.html < Huge article database
largest therian forum, including map to find therian neer you (sadly there are like 10 therians in my country, and all inactive right now)

if u like something more cozy and nice there are other smaller forums too . Otherkin forum are not bad too, cos of this "what strange things i see tooday" < not for purist therians

It's according to how you look at it, Shadow. The online "community" is active only as long as you're online. The offline community is people's lives - it happens continuously. Mind you, I realize that some people live their lives online but that strikes me as a very unTherian mode of living - seeing as how Therians are supposed to be close to nature and all that.
Also the offline community is real. Online might be global but it only exists in cyberspace which is....well, no where.
Most of the Therians that have been around (and around, and around) no longer spend much time on line but they didn't die. They're still around, but if you want to talk to them, you'll have to do it offline. Also, there are quite a few real life communities forming - Therians who actually live together or spend lots of time together in real life. What I actually meant is that the balance is shifting from online to offline. Most Therians are offline (actually, that's not a change - most Therians have always been offline. It's just that the online crowd really doesn't want to accept that. Offline Therianthropy is becoming more visible and more accessible, though.) It won't be too long until online therianthropy will be what it should have been all the time - a resource; not a community.
Sherlawk - except on the chatroom, Weresource is inactive but, if they do what they say they are going to do, it may actually look like the old Werelist (a resource) and that would be very good.
