Thank you.  Better getting points than getting pointed at.  And stared at.  Silently.

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

The world is odd whether you like it or not. Man has created many things to guide them along with their life. They need guidance, hope, confidence for the next day. Some people may disagree with this idea that gives this man hope, so they create their own. There isnt any actual shown proof of anything of the sort. So, no one will truly ever know what the point to their life is. I'm sure there is something of a sort of a werewolf here, but the government likes to keep things secret to they don't start a world wide panic. There needs to be balance and order in the world otherwise humanity will fail. So I wouldn't be surprised if there was one.

More like so The Great They can control everything.  Or at least think they do.

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

Hey I wanted to let you know that I had the book title wrong earlier. I went to find some info and realized that it was wrong. As soon as I find the book in by shelf that is the physics and psychology take I'll post the title, sorry about that. Although, I will say "Hyperspace" is still an amazing book.

Given sufficient cash, I could hire a surgeon to transform me into a werewolf, but it would be an external change only.

I don't think the technology is around to make a person appear to be a werewolf literally, but it is an interesting thought. wink

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

^huh? I haven't heard about this, details please.

as for my stance on whether werewolves exist. as for physical shifting or human-wolf hybrids no I don't. However it seems to me that Therians are basically weres without the physical aspect.

I actually saw that guy on a television show once (I think it may have been a documentary on Discovery). Unless I'm wrong, he lives on a little secluded island and the only place he frequents is a local bar from time to time.

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

okay now that is just freaky, in that he isn't really becoming a tiger he just has his body tatooed to look like one and has had certain parts of his body reshaped to resemble a tiger, but there is no internal physical change. It's more an obsession with becoming a tiger than actually pursuing what a tiger is.

Um...as I recall, he has taken Tiger as his totem.

yeah but there is a difference between following the WAYS of that totem and just trying to make yourself look like it (to an extreme extent)

i believe in them with all my heart and soul. I believe that it must be real somewhere, or how else could the idea ever have come into fruition!

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

PLEASE READ MY ENTIRE POST BEFORE YOU RESPOND.

I don't need scientific proof to believe in something. If I needed it, I would believe in nothing. I believe there are three different types of wolf kin. the Lycan, the Loup Garou, and the Therian.

Lycan are the werewolves that most people know thanks to the media. They are the ones that shift into multiple forms. The two legged wolves. To become one, you must be bitten.

Loup Garou are the shifterkin. The ones who are the wolf and can change back and forth between human and wolf, no in between. This is genetic and engraved in their very spirit (tis what I am.) (the shifter kin are not always wolves, but the Loup Garou are. These, unfortunately, are in much smaller numbers than the other two. We are a very rare bunch at this point in time because so many have thought us the Lycan and we have been caught in the middle of their war.)

And then there is the Therian who are the humans with the very strong connection to the wolves (these are not always wolves too.) the wolf empowers them and they walk side by side the wolf, but they themselves are not the wolf.

The first two shift, however, due to a punishment by the Gods, the Lycan and the Loup Garou cannot shift/change on this plain any longer. It caused to much destruction and innocent casualties of innocents in this world. The only place the shift/change can be made anymore is in astral. However, these two can still call upon their wolf sides to help them out in a time of need and it will menifest, just not in the physical form. Thereians can do this too; call upon the wolf (or the animal of their connection) to aid them in a time of need.

I know these things probably go against a lot of what the people on here believe (especially my classification of the therian) but it is what I was taught and it is the belief of myself and the others of my pack. My people. Please understand that I am not trying to tell anyone else they are wrong, for a personal and spiritual belief is never wrong, it just isn't always right for everyone. This is my belief.

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

well, I do not believe in the 'known' werewolf
I mean the full moon shifters who become a hybrid creature because they lost their soul
I think that's just fairytale stuff

The werewolves I do believe in are those who have control to do the shapeshift themselves
those known as P-shifters, these most likely become wolves and not half wolf/man creatures, but it might be possible

It is proven that people who really want something change in their body can make their brain do so
this can be awake or unconscious in their sleep, this happened a lot in the time when the church was all what was important
people dreamed then of Jesus hang on the cross, when they woke up they unconsciously ordered their brain to make
holes in their hands like Jesus had because of the nails(saw a documentary long ago)

well if the body would hurt itself that way then it is possible to make it become a wolf
It will just take much time, energy and you have to learn to fully control this unconscious part of the brain by meditation
this probably is indeed painful when you succeed it consciously

I can't P-shift like that but I'm trying to learn this by following some guides

also there is M-shifting
and that is even more possible then P-shift in my opinion

Off-topic:Illeana are you in a online pack? what's it called

Re: Do you believe in werewolves? If so why?

That's an interesting view on it and I've heard of things like that, but in a less dramatic way. For example, I've heard of concentrating hard enough on one colour and your eyes becoming that colour (that's one I've managed to teach myself.)

And Lycangon, no, I'm not in an online pack. My pack consists of people I know IRL and interact with on a regular basis in person (as well as on astral.)

I know that.  I meant, what is the title of the documentary -- or is it called that too?

Another possibility: Through trancework, one could take on a wolf shape in an alternate reality.
