WolfMontana had some questions for everyone in another forum, so I thought I would open a Forum Member forum here to discuss, here's a copy of the post with some questions:

The Wild by Whitley Strieber. The lead character is a man who feels completely at odds in modern society, something I relate to quite strongly. He is drawn to staring at a wolf in a zoo one day, falls into a spell while staring in the wolf's eyes, then later starts changing into an actual wolf. The story continues with him struggling to regain his humanity, trying to escape from New York city, then discovering the wonders of the wild, of living by tooth and claw. It's very very good.
The Wolf's Hour is another of my favoritesFantastic, epic stuff, and very real. And hey, Nazi's!!
Aaaand.. the Howling Books I & III. Very vicious stuff.
And I have read Alice Borchardt's stuff - excellent.
Last but not least - Howling Mad by Peter David. Anyone else read this book?
I'm also very curious to find out what a Howl is

Welcome to The Werewolf Cafe WolfMontana! Hope you are enjoying the site!
To answer some of your questions, I think some of the Forum members here have read "Howling Mad," as I know it is mentioned on the forums here, you may want to check out the book forum. Oh, you like Alice's books, very cool, I was lucky enough to get all three of them autographed. Also, you were wondering what a "Howl" was, you can check out the conventions and gatherings" forum to find out more about them.

Thanks Busboy
Did you create this website yourself? It's incredible! And I haven't even seen it in the light of the full moon. (can't wait!) I'm really impressed by the range of topics you've got going here, and the submissions that I've seen of art, writing, reviews, general zaniness.
Obviously a really talented pack
You do an amazing job keeping it all going!
I am so excited to find this place! I've been involved in a number of online communities, but never one dedicated solely to all things werewolf. It's like finding home!

I am so glad you like the site, that's awesome. O.k., so you haven't see the "actual" site yet at a full moon phase, ha, ha, o.k., so I won't spoil any surprises for ya, but all I will say that when it's open, check out the "archives" on all the things you are interested in, as the site is a lot bigger than it appears. Enjoy!

Yes, there are a lot of extremely talented people on this site, there are writers, authors, artists, directors, actors and more who have worked on various werewolf projects. At the full moon phase, when the site is open, you'll get to see some cool "other" werewolf related things too. One hope was that this site would be appealing to all visitors. We always try to keep all the actual werewolf topics fact based and on topic, so people can research this site for any information they may want, as a lot more people "view" this site then actually post on it. It's a fun site, with really fun and interesting people dropping by.

Hey, WolfMontana. I liked Howling Mad a lot. It was hilarious without being silly.
And a Howl is simply a gathering of Therians (Weres).

The other one's purple!
... okay darnit, it's not. %) That would be so cool though. Does anyone actually have eyes bordering on purple or is that a complete myth??

Hi Wolf!
What kind of stuff do people get up to at Howls? Besides howling?
Great description of Howling Mad - it was soo funny. But it treated the topic with respect still. You get a strong sense of his wolf nature, his pride, and his digust at being turned into a man. Then came pizza, and all was good. %)
T'were all because of the thumb!
I couldn't believe how the main antagonist bit it in the end though - fillings?!? Wha?? And that poor vampire.
Going to have to reread it yet again. I think it'll be my fifth time.

It was great stuff!
Contacts? Photoshop? What are these things of which you speak...
ah... bugger it, yes, that's a photoshop special. If I could have arranged things a certain way before I was born (ie, hey god dude, I've got a great look I wanna shoot for, whatcha think?) I would have.
My eyes are actually blue, with a goldish ring around the pupil.
(maybe that's the wolf in wait - who knows!

Yeah, I did!! Love it By the way, I gotta ask - are you a cereal-holic?
Seeing everyone's work just makes me want to dive back into my werewolf stuff. I used to go crazy at it when I was younger, wrote tons of bad stories too. I'm starting to write again now, so it's time to pick up that pencil!
Great to meet all of you!
