lol We were at a wedding and all of our pictures have people with red-eye! It's like a creepy vampire wedding or something! There's one of the bride, and she's fairly white anyways, and then she has this poofy white dress on, and then horrible red-eye! Best wedding pictures ever, lol

Okay, I realize that some of the stuff I post might not be 100% squeaky clean goodness, and I'm not against admins censoring/cutting something that goes beyond the rules of the board, but if you're going to do it, PLEASE PUT SOMETHING to that effect in the post.

I don't care what - '<edited/snipped by admin/mod/whatever>' '[UNCLEAN UNCLEAN! CENSORED!]'. Don't just alter my posts and make it look like I said something completely different, or nothing at all. Because then you change who I AM on here. And if you're going to keep doing that, I'm going to go somewhere else.

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

Well, I'll admit, it's not as nice as "Jesus' Scrunchie", but I was really just kidding around. They used to use codpieces way back when, and I'm sure if Satan had been strolling around at the time he would have worn one. And it would have obviously been a very evil and horrible codpiece, so I compared it to computers.

I could have been talking about Satan using one of these though: wink

You just never know when a child (which could be one of ours) come in here and see an offending word(s) and starts to say those word(s) around the house or at school? That child could get in trouble with his/her parents and that parent will complain about the Werewolf Cafe being a bad influence on his/her child and that could get the Werewolf Cafe and the member who started it in trouble. Dont you have to be over a certain age to be on here anyway? Like...beyond the "impressionable age?" I'm not 100% sure, but I think everyone in this place is at least 15, 14 at the least.

P.S. there was nothing obviously or vulgarly innapropriate that was said. And is Montana leaves because someone can't take a joke or whatever, it would be rediculous, and it would be the whole forum's loss.

True but this place is open to all ages, right? Meaning a child could came in if he/she wants.

You know, you didn't read my post very well.

I said "I'm not against admins censoring/cutting something that goes beyond the rules of the board" and said PLEASE use "<edited/snipped by admin/mod/whatever>".

I said I did not like my posts being tampered with, with no record of the fact. In doing so, you alter my personality on this board. It might seem like a small deal in this case (and yeah, it is), but it makes me wonder how far you'll go? Will you make this site your own personal Disneyland?

Kids pick up one of the many names for the devil from the bible. Growing up Christian gets you exposed to the word real early. And most kids wouldn't even know what a codpiece is. I'm sorry I offended you. Since you're a mod on here you have the right to snip, and I'll respect that right, but you might need to understand that this board ISN'T Disney, it's about werewolves. Werewolves do some not nice things. Some reduce people to piles of shredded meat, and not by accident. You've gotta have some inkling of that when you visit this board.

BlueEyesWolf wrote:

Please do not use that tone of voice with me, you sound very patronising. I didn't appreciate it in that personal email you sent me after that stupid 'eating your critters' flare up, and I can't say it's aged well. I am not a child.

And thanks Bloodfang. That's kind of you to say.

Really? You're offended by underwear? Well, we all wear it, and there are different types. I know, odd oargument, but thats what I'm dealing with.

And MAYBE there should be an AGE REQUIREMENT AGREEMENT agreed upon before you are allowed to enter the site.

Nothing crazy, but as Montana said, not ALL of werewolfdom is squeaky clean, and in fact, most times it's quite the opposite. So if this site is universally believed to be "PG-13", then maybe you should have one of those agreements, so nobody under that age is allowed here.

Also, what she said could be considered PG. Anything more than that would be overdoing it. I may be out of place here, and if I am, I apologise, but I would guess that you are one of the older members in this place, which should make you one of the most mature as well. You just might be the only person that gets offended on a regular basis here, over the most negligable things. Again, I apologise if I am out of line.

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

noooo don't go!

ya know...if the whole PG-13 is going to be a problem, there should be some more concrete guidelines if the admins are going to have different opinions about it... I'm not saying the rules should be more strict, just understood better...

otherwise things like this could keep happening...

and I agree with Montana on having something to indicate that there WAS some censoring done.... like !@@#$!@....

or even the "last edited by someone" thing in italics that automatically appears at the bottom of a post (vv look down vv)....if an admin censors it, it should be indicated...

I've had my posts edited or even removed on another forum before because I made the mistake of getting in some stupid arguement with one of the admins...so he decided to clip out or edit parts of my posts or even delete entire posts to make it look like I was a moron or a jerk...

I'm not saying that's what Blue is doing, it's just that it can lead to that....

I'm not yelling doom, but going down that road is a good way to kill a forum...

And don't be condescending Blue.....Montana obviously doesn't like it, there's few things I hate more than being talked down to, and I'm sure everyone else feels the same way...

I think this is a good idea, or at least some indication that the content isn't really suitable for kids under 13. I know a few boards have age agreements when you register, I don't see as many with an agreement gateway. While it's not bulletproof, some reminder that the content isn't for little ones would help to draw a line of sorts and help to protect the Cafe.

That's a good idea too. I have no problem with rules, and I'm not a vulgar person by trade! (though I have some funny ideas about tresspassing)

No, Blue is just trying to keep stuff down to a close to G as possible. I know it's not a personal thing. I don't agree with his need to DO so, but...

Re: WolfMontana's Forum

My 2 cents or whatever, a phrase like "Satan's codpiece" is shown on public TV a lot. This easily could've come out of a show like "BlackAdder", and that's shown on BBC America a lot. And that's here, not in Britain (though I imagine they show it a lot there too). A codpiece was commonly worn (as WolfMontana stated earlier) and it's no bigger deal than say, a guantlet. As for the name of the devil, there's so many names and saying "Beelzebub" isn't different from "Satan" or "The Devil".

For the kiddies, yeah, there'll probably be some surprize from an elder if they spout off "Satan's codpiece", but I think they could easily say something a lot worse just by watching TV. I agree this site should be open to everybody, but it should still be PG-13. Parents should moniter their kids and I don't want the Cafe or anyone in it getting in trouble because some little snipe wasn't being watched. Most people on here are above the age 15 (maybe even everybody) and while we cannot acount for those not registered, I'm guessing if they're into werewolves they're probably familar with the rougher side of this creature. Most werewolves I've seen in movies weren't nice, and the movies weren't meant for General audiences either. I agree we should watch our coarse language and images and subject everybody on here to those things, but I don't believe that everything needs to be sugar coated either.

I've probably only succeeded in exacerbating this issue, but this wasn't meant as an attack and I was only trying to help. I think everyone on here is great and is an important part of the online community that has been created here.

Okay, I've probably racked up more like a $1.08, but I'm done now.
