Cornerstone featuring the first issue of Anubis: Guardian of the Tomb is being printed now - mostly it was getting the colors for the cover completed and the Holiday Season in general that slowed the process slightly but everything is still on track for it's Jauary release. wink

I will get you the news on when Cornerstone is available for purchase, in the meantime here is the current lineup for the second issue's contributors:

Writer/Creator: William T Taylor
Pencils & Grayscales: Stephie Stone
Inks: Jesse "Cadre" Hansen
Lettering: Jennifer Eller

Our original inker, PJ, will be busy so Cadre will step in for the time being, although PJ intends to return on issue #3 or asap.

Interesting news, Red.

Not just yet, and for all my eager and patient friends I'll give the details:

The colors for the outside/inside covers of the Cornerstone book are done by Cadre Corner member Freddy Lopez from Peru.  Sadly the files with the finished version were corrupted but Freddy is reworking it.  The printing process itself, which takes roughly a week, is what comes next.  In short we just got caught on a small hangnail pretty much.

The book will be available within January 2007 all the same.  The Cadre Corner plans to release it at the FX show in Orlando: http://www.cadrecorner.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=53 http://www.fxshow.com/ where Cornerstone will be unveiled publicly but we should have it selling before then.

As you can gather, any kind of buisness is tricky to manage as this shows; I know from personal experience when my family attempted one of our own...went bankrupt within two years but everything's settled and it's an experience I'd rather forget personally. tongue

Just keeping everyone in-the-know.  I'll bring forward all details asap, especially how to get ahold of a copy!

Re: Anubis: Guardian Of The Tomb

first: Freddy Lopez is out of Texas/Mexico area... not Peru... my esteemed colleague is mistaking him with one of our past colorist, Paulo Rivas... all good though.

second: yes, we hit a snag, but due to the foresight of such events and the professionalism of our very own Freddy... all should be as scheduled.  No worries... we're on it.

All good... big_smile

Re: Anubis: Guardian Of The Tomb

My mistake on Mr. Lopez's area; I will say his work is exquisete after seeing a sample version of the cover.  I expect the final version that's forthcoming will be something you'll love!

Re: Anubis: Guardian Of The Tomb

so far as I have managed... they will be available at indyplanet.com and dimestorepublications.com... I'll be sure to send links when I have them.

PLUS: the books can also be ordered direct from any of the major contributors of the book... those being:
Bill Taylor, Jason Bourgeois, Austin Janowsky, Chris Churchill, Mike Churchill and of course myself acting in place of the studio itself... big_smile

Re: Anubis: Guardian Of The Tomb

Anubis: Guardian of the Tomb starring in Cornerstone is preparing to take the first orders!

http://widget.slide.com/redirect/Fbtt7pvtij6ZshefIeEnAAaxGiXI3oi8v6ZNrnqlUaSCmdYML-A__8iYFLwzbcT_39Mq9MfRLf2_qmyyKEAjnTQ5Fzw_N5Eyb2ivaZf6tMmFvye5Fu6lOb8ziSM6iuzDgs23CylUXBqcL_5WzeYNaYeIJ29HMYtMpyoH6_K7Gs7Wj2yLyHs2SVi5pXn3nZyY_nAP5TRSfdvjg64a1qwwKsGuc3Gz3aui9j2ZNN-ADlCTkkv5h1nthg.jpg

Cornerstone is currently at the printers, and as soon as they are available I will start taking orders.  I'll explain how orders through me will go - Busboy, I will need to talk with you regarding orders taken via the Werewolf Cafe, email or instant message but lemme know asap:

- Starting today, I will accept preorders but don't send any money just yet.  When the copies become available what I'll do is send an email invoice back restating the order and how much it will come to and confirming where you wish it sent.  Email to red_streak1@hotmail.com to place your preorder.

- Copies of Cornerstone will be mailed by DHL once they are available and orders are in place.  It would be sent via Ground DHL which typically takes 3 days to deliver; it will be in a padded envelope with a cardboard support and its own clear plastic comic protector bag.

- Cornerstone itself will cost $3.25.  For DHL shipping there will be an added $3 charge for a total of $6.25.  For four stories in a roughly 40-page book it is a good deal you all deserve.

I will post again when the copies themselves are available, and I intend to keep the price at $6.25 even if its an expense to me.  Again Busboy talk to me for Werewolf Cafe orders.  I know this has all been news you've been waiting for. wink

Re: Anubis: Guardian Of The Tomb

I will let Bill handle all sales for the Werewolf Cafe until he runs out... and then the Corner supply can pick up the difference... so no worries on that end either.
