That would be scary!
Yeah, the guy totally could've beat a person with the whip, and then freaked out and said it was a dog Which is sad either way.
If I was that kid, I so would've just slid out of my chair and slept on the ground. Poor kid! Just sittin' there, staring off... waiting... nothing... all these crazy Americans with their cameras staring at him like he might do a little trick, lol.

Okie, I'm bummed. Last week I saw the promos for Fridays on Sci Fi - Wolf Lake showing Fridays at 8pm! I know there aren't too many episodes of this series, but this week I got all excited today about seeing the 2nd eppy and lo and behold, it's not on!
And now, I'm wandering Sci Fi land at www.scifi.com and nothing shows up in a search for Wolf Lake, and it's not showing on any Friday between here and the end of August? Aha, just found the page: http://www.scifi.com/wolflake/
What the heck? Did I just imagine that promo??? Was it just a one off thing?!?! I was getting excited about there being another werewolf series to watch on TV, and big freaking D'OH, now there isn't!
And dammit, looking through the episode list, it sounds really quite good - and I loved the first episode! AUGH!

Monty! Stop it before you're committed! *holds Monty back*
There is the off chance that the programming got screwed up. Like, it will say "Program A" is on, when it's actually "Random Program K". There's one channel on our TV that does that a lot and I've seen others mess up from time to time as well. Or maybe they showed the wrong commercial, like how you'll be watching TV and the commercials are on, and then the first 3 seconds of one will play, only to be cut off by some other ad.

*stops* Maybe. *mopes*

Aw, chin up! I betcha it'll be on sooner or later. If not, we'll make a huge petition and force them to air it! *evil grin*

Monty you can always rent "The Howling 7" instead of watching that!

Yeah, I was looking up the site and it looks like they not only pulled "Wolf Lake" but "Kindred The Embraced", which was on SciFi before it. My guess? They looked at the first week's ratings and decided to pull them off the schedule. Too bad. I'm sure it'll be back on sometime, maybe in one of those midday marathons that they show during the week.

Wow. I hate it when they do that! Couldn't they tell I was riveted to the screen and stayed for Doctor Who too? Damnit - I want a ratings box! Sci Fi would be going through the roof in the standings!

I finally saw the werewolf episode of the Dresden Files - totally enjoyed it, and loved the half way look that the girl goes into while she's waiting in the room. The werewolves themselves reminded me of a video game, but overall, great story

OK got news about "Wolf Lake". I was looking at the schedule section for SciFi in October and according to them, A marathon of episodes will air on the channel on Thursday, Oct. 18th from 8AM to 4PM. I'm not sure if they are starting with the first episode or not. But you can look at the schedule at SciFi.com to be sure.
BTW, remember I was the one who told you guys that if the show was going to return to the network it would be in one of those weekday marathons.

According to the Wiki episode guide, there's another werewolf coming up on DESTINATION TRUTH this season on the Syfy (ugh) Channel (in the US at least):

Scifi channel is expected to have a werewolf movie coming up soon - Wolfsbayne. Something about gypsy vampires and werewolves teaming up against a christian order hunting them down. Budget affair but should be interesting.

Nah, Wolvesbayne wasn't worth it.

Just saw it and I had gotten the premise wrong. I had described the 2005 film of the same name. This one involved one guy getting turned into a werewolf and then getting caught up in a battle between a nazi vampire cult and a human/werewolf team that could be considered paranormal peace-keepers. Scifi channel had an overblown synopsis describing the plot as a sole super heroic werewolf hero against a nefarious nazi vampire cult bent on destroying the planet- it wasn't that dynamic.
Overall the film was ok. Some action, some decent special effects but in the end it was a film that had unmet potential. The protagonist was simply too much of a douche-bag though out the film and you often hoped he would've developed sooner into a hero. Even then, he was essentially more of a by-stander than any type of protagonist. Oh well, Yancy Butler was kinda cool as a supreme vampire goddess.
