Hi Catwolf!! *super hug*
Hey Midnight - funny you should mention that about Donna, the runaway bride? Uh...
*falls into spoiler pit* Erm...
*spoilers to follow!!*DonnawillbejoiningtheDoctorforthe4thseason*/spoiler*
I wasn't too sure about that, based on the stunned mullet look she seems to have in all the promo pictures, but I really enjoyed her character by the end of the Christmas special (and is it just me, or does Russel T Davies HATE christmas? Killer christmas trees/santa's? Blowing up spider christmas stars?? sheesh!). So, we'll see.
But I love Martha to bits. Love her a heck of a lot more than Rose!
Over here in the states we're at the episode 'Blink'. I've actually watched all of the episodes online by now though, and for me David Tennant is a solid rival for Tom Baker as the best Doctor. Not sure which season I like best though, 2 or 3. Loved Martha more than Rose, so I edge towards 3, but a werewolf AND Sarah Jane Smith pop up in 2, so it's a hard one.

You like season three and Martha huh? I've been watching bits and pieces of Season three too. Martha's ok, but so far I still haven't seen the best chemistry between her and the doctor than Rose did. I thought the relationship between Rose and the doctor (both Eccleston and Davies...I think Davies?) was the best. The Werewolf epi is a good episode...There was quote from the doctor that I found hilarious in that epi...i think when he's telling someone about running as a good form of exercise in a crisis like that LOL. I heard though the season ending to season Stunk though. I don't know, that's what a lot of people said. They didn't like how everything up to the ending kinda...well, i picked up at how it ended but I won't say more without spoiling it. Blink I hear IS the best episode for Season 3, though I liked 42 (mins)...
*sigh* It's official...I'm a Doctor Who Geek....for the new series anyways

Sweet!! Another Doctor Who geek!
It's weird, but something about Rose totally rubbed me the wrong way. Martha is someone I loved right from the bat - same with the new doctor. But Eccleston's Doctor didn't sit well with me. His 'whimsy' seemed completely forced. He really didn't have that 'child at heart'/wonder quality that I loved in the fourth Doctor, and that I see in David Tennant too. I mean, you just have to see that moment in Tooth & Claw where he sees the werewolf and goes 'You're beautiful!'.
Blink was AWESOME. And 42 was alot of fun too. Of the second series, I loved the werewolf show, the one with Sarah Jane Smith (I completely freaked out to see her actually AND K-9! Wondered why they were playing the rivalry between her and Rose so strong) - School Reunion I think. Hmm, and the Impossible Planet / Satan Pit two parter - that was great fun
That 2nd season final though was very tough. Very very sad. But personally, not being a bit Rose fan, and not knowing why the Doctor was so into her (guess I need to see all of Season 1 now!) it just left me puzzled, and annoyed that he didn't have that relationship with Martha instead!
And also, knowing that it was caused by the actress who played Rose wanting to leave the show, didn't leave me with alot of sympathy.

AH! so that's why Rose quit. Too bad.
Well with me, I kinda never got into Doctor Who till I started see bits and pieces of the First Season. Then, when I started my search for Werewolf movies pics and shows, I managed to get a decent hi res quality of Tooth and Claw. Not knowing anything about what was going on so far in the show, I loved every minute of that episode, the doctor and Rose, and all the little quirks added into it. After that, I kinda went mad and bought the the first and second season box sets and had a little doctor who marathon for three straight days  Yep, pretty nuts. *sigh*
I guess since I watched through them in order, and since I know who Eccleston is, I was getting into his character and was loving Eccleston. And then he suddenly goes off and the Doctor does his "Shedding" thing and we got a Tenth Doctor, and new actor. David is lovable too, but it was kinda awkward having to get use to a new doctor so soon for me.
Strangely, I somehow got my own mother hooked on this show too ^^;. She thought the same thing about getting use to the new Doctor. Stranger yet, she actually agrees with me that it was sad Rose took off.
But I understand why David seems to be more natural as the Doctor. He does play the inner child thing well. I just remembered that scene, with the doctor all awe inspired and mesmerized by the Werewolf's "existence"

Yup yup yup! It's funny, I knew Doctor Who had come back - I used to watch the classic series around the time of Tom Baker and then Peter Davidson, so I had a particular expectation of what I liked in a doctor (Tom Baker more than Peter Davidson - Peter's doctor was a bit of a wet blanket). I saw Eccleston a few times, though only all the way through in the gasmask episode (that I don't remember the name of). I thought it was very well made, but something about Eccleston didn't click with the old image I'd grown to love. He was missing something. So I didn't really keep up with it.
It wasn't until the Tooth and Claw episode was mentioned here that I spent any further time with it, and I was immediately hooked by the new guy. Then they started running some episodes on SciFi, I caught some with Martha, and I was completely hooked yet again.
I started finding more episodes, and have watched all of Season 2 and 3, including the Christmas specials, over the past week. So hey, that's not that nuts. You should have seen me and Smallville - 4 seasons on dvd just sitting there?? I went CRAZY.
HI BLACK SHUCK!!! *jumping tackle hug!!!*

Yeah busy at work, trying to spend my evenings off the computer, and totally engrossed in Doctor Who eppy's - specifically with David Tennant. His doctor reminds me very much of the 4th doctor's style, totally loving it.
I hear what your saying, and glad to hear you're enjoying '"Dr. Who."

Hmmm, Doctor Who seems to be hot along the werewolves in here. Wonder what would happen if Doctor Who and his "telephone booth" has appeared right here?

Such odd shaped enemies with there plunger suckers and mini beams. Pretty much all they can do...and hover. To some, back then, they're were scary, though to the new generation these enclosed tin men aliens can be laughable at first sight. "What a cute little alien! Look at the "meancing" plunger on its side! It almost looks like a mechanical mousey thi..."
ZAPP!
Don't trust first looks. Laughable form, yes...but the Daleks Are Deadly. The one fact that make them threatening is the impenetrable force field; no machine or laser gun other than their own beam ray can destroy them...other than a miracle. And if we are all unlucky, they may come in swarms, 1000's to 10000's. *shivers* the end of the world will come when the Daleks invade....
Hehe, I got carried away and wrote a frickin monologue on the Daleks. Sorry ^^; But yeah, that's what I thought of the Daleks. And the fact that the Doctor fears them so much adds to their meancing feel at times. Plus their the baddest threatening foes in the Doctor Who series...cause they always find some WAY to come BACK. I mean watch just the seasons 1-3 of the NEW series and you'll know what I mean.
I'll stop ranting
Offline
Yeah, it's hard to think of them as menacing, particularly back when they couldn't actually hover, or at least, noone thought of it back then. Their biggest enemy at that point was not the Doctor, it was stairs.
K-9 kinda suffers from the same problem I want to see them come back with a truly mobile version - animatronics and CG! WOOT!

I have been wanting to watch Dr.Who,but from the beginning and I can't find out when they play episodes...

I might have a solution for you, Loup.
Quick Silver Screen has all the episodes available for watching if you have flash player and a decent internet speed. Last time I checked, all the links were working.
You could watch all 3 seasons at your leisure!
Believe me, it's worth it.
And for those of us who love the Daleks, This thing is a necessity!
You can make it run over your old G.I. Joe action figures or anything else you have on hand and make it say "EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!" as your giddy laugh fills the ambient background...

*cackle* Oh yeah, that'd be fun
When I was roaming around Dublin we visited a comic store and they had a ton of Doctor Who stuff - but not freaking inflatable TARDIS, which I was pretty miffed about I'd seen one in Australia but hadn't had the money (or the luggage space!!!) to buy one!

LoupGarouAngel... the problem with that is that the series started in 1963. There's about 700 or so episodes to plough through - less the 100 or so that are completely lost from the BBC archives. All you really need to know about Doctor Who is: he travels in time and space and fights monsters. All the complicated stuff (e.g. how he can regenerate into a new actor when he suffers from extreme age or a fatal injury) gets explained when it's needed. Just dive in and see if you enjoy the show.
Indeed You can find a bunch of 4th Doctor (Tom Baker) episodes online - he's almost everyone's favorite Doctor. I grew up watching it, so the low low budget effects never really bugged me as we only had one TV channel at the time and the other options were 'Monkey' and the 'Goodies', both also brilliant shows.
I just recently watched 'Hand of Fear' That storyline completely scared the crap out of me as a kid!! Crawling disembodied hands do it to me every time!!
