Wolf ring

I have seen this same ring sold at Spencer Gifts but it was too large. There were a number of these being sold at one booth at the NC Renaissance Fair. I also bought the ring with the pentacle there too. Two of the photos are blurry because I was holding the camera up with my left hand.

Re: Wolf ring

Nice rings!

You have hairy knuckles.  That's supposed to mean something.  What is it?  I totally forget.  wink

'OK, how about werewolves?' said the voice eventually.
'What do they look like?' asked the kid.
'Ah, well, they look perfectly normal right up to the point where they grow all, like, hair and teeth and giant paws and leap through the window at you,' said the voice.

Re: Wolf ring

Very cool, so they had them at Spencer's too?

A harmonic sound such as a vibrating string is one in where the harmonics are mathematically related by what is called the harmonic series.

Re: Wolf ring

I saw the wolf ring at Spencers only once and it was sized far too large out of all the times I've ever gone to that store.

Good to know, I think... wink

I like the wolf ring, but I don't think I could wear anything that big, how heavy is it?

Re: Wolf ring

It really isn't that heavy, the head is hollow. The only difference with it on is that when I try to clip my key carabiner to the inside of my pocket, the teeth try to bite at the top of the pocket and prevents me from being able to easily put my hand in my pocket for lack of better words.

Re: Wolf ring

I can see that.  I like the ring, but stuff like that would probably bug the crap out of me after a few weeks.

I once wore a ring that I lost in a box I was preparing to be shipped to, like, Louisiana or something.  I lost the ring in the box, and didn't realize at first.  I was completely bummed out for several days, until I got a small package in the mail, from Louisiana or where ever, with my ring in it.

That is my ring story.  It's not as exciting as Frodo's, but I like it.

Re: Wolf ring

I was careful to get all three at the correct size so they will not fall off in warm/cold weather like one I found which later fell off and was lost because it was too big.

Yeah, I've got the same ring - it's lovely big_smile (though perhaps a little bug eyed)

Re: Wolf ring

I have a ring just like that!  A couple of friends gave it to me after I read Striebers's "The Wild" -- and couldn't think or talk about anything else for the next three years.  They assured me it would keep me from being an "evil" werewolf (not keep me from being a were, just an evil one).  Of course, they also said it was one-of-a-kind. hmm

And it really likes to hook onto doorjambs and corners.

Re: Wolf ring

If I made a fist while wearing the wolf-ring. . .  and bent my thumb inside my fist so it touched the band of the ring . . . I could make it shake its "head", or nod, or sort of tilt off to one side as if shrugging, or twist *way* away from someone as if disgusted with them.  So naturally I claimed it was the ancient wolf ring of knowledge that could answer questions.  It was also good for impromptu ventriloquist acts.

It was also amazing what I could get it to carry in its little mouth.  Everyone should have one!

Re: Wolf ring

I just realized -- I got a hug from WolfMontana! *bounces around like Daffy Duck*  Woo!  Woo-hoo-hoo! Woo! Woo-hoo! Woo!

*Ahem*.  And you can catch towels and shirts that are just out of reach with the ring's little pointy ears.  If you don't mind minor snags and tears. smile
