Sad news which is why we've had some delays with issue #2. One of my co-working partners for the story "Tan" encountered some bad technical trouble...
...in short his computer had a power-surge that outright killed it, and most of his art files with it.
On the good side he was able to contact us and he's intending to use the material he has to send ASAP. That, sadly, is why we haven't released the book just yet but we shall!

So sorry to hear that, good luck, hope everything can be resolved soon, hang in there!

Bugger, sorry to hear about the hiccup. Nothing worst than loosing your freaking art files. Hope it all comes together quick!

Oh totally bummer man! Hope you guys can fix everything up a.s.a.p so we can finally get Cornerstone # 2 !
Offline
Aww, thats a bummer. But hey it will all work out right?
Offline
it may even work out better than originally planned... due to this mishap, we may have a full color pinup available for you, some cool news on other projects from the Corner members as well as not just 10 pages, but the remainder of the Tan story as a result!!!

Well, as I said... I always see the bright side if at all possible... due to the delay, we should be able to offer YOU, the readers and supporters an even larger issue with an added bonus... so stay tuned.

LOL... actually, the original pencils WERE indeed done in red... the scan here was converted to grayscale for both viewing purposes as well as for me before I converted to blueline.

News update forthcoming Friday. If all goes well Cornerstone #2 featuring Anubis: Guardian of the Tomb will be out well before the next Full Moon event.
Offline
...on a further note I am starting to come up with new comic book ideas for Cornerstone as well.
Anubis will continue on for 3 more issues (including the #2 book) so his origin story will be featured in Cornerstone but afterwards he'll become his own series, leaving room for several new stories. After I get some scripts written for my potential new comics I'll give more details on what they'll be like.
And no worries for Anubis, he'll definetely be around the Cadre Corner.

Here's the update I promised you all.
We've been waiting on one final story, in this case Tan. On the good side its creator has gotten his computer and work just about ready. The bad side is his computer still is conked out, but it sounded like a minor problem compared to how its circuits were initially fried in a power surge. I am hoping come Monday he will give us the good news I had been hoping I could give tonight.
Making a comic book nowadays involves alot, but thanks to technology like digital art and the internet it's at a faster pace than back in Stan Lee's early, early days. The part that takes the most time is the artwork itself, naturally so the book turns out good and not looking ameraturish or rushed. After the scripts, artwork, inking, and coloring processes physically making the book - even several hundred copies - only is a task requiring a few days thanks to the modern day printing press.
Keep your hopes up! This issue is the start of Anubis' origin, and I spared no expense in making this 3-part series of Anubis: Guardian of the Tomb anything less than spectacular!

Waiting with bated breath, still.
