Since WolfMontana has paid visits to several of my threads I thought I'd finally pop by her Forum!

Is there some sort of football practice today?

You know, I really think it's great that mummies are getting such great work opportunities these days, what with posing for all those 'better than botox' anti-wrinkle internet ads you see everywhere.
I'd just like to point out that I've NEVER seen anyone with wrinkles as obvious as the ones those women are wielding, save on the stage. Fer cripes sake.
What's really working for these women is a little product called Photoshop.

and some little SFX too.

Went for a small walk through a nearby State Park today, and a path just seemed to jump out at me, one I'd never noticed before, but felt very drawn to exploring. Along the path was a park bench very close to the water's edge (the park has a big lake in the middle). I sat and let the place sink in, watched the water beetles skating on the surface, saw the head of a turtle pop up once or twice and generally felt peaceful.
Next thing I know there was something rustling in the underbrush behind me, and I thought I caught a glimpse of someone's dog bouncing around not too far from where I was sitting. Then the most unbelievable thing happened - a big brown owl (not a dog!) swooped up off the ground and up onto a low branch next to the trail.
My jaw proceeded to fall, my eyes went super wide, because I'd never seen an owl so clearly before in... well, what passed as 'the wild' in this park. It was beautiful, huge, with big dark eyes, and had obvious just grabbed a mouthful of some unfortunate critter from the forest floor.
As I sat there staring, the owl flew from that perch to one a little further into the wood, higher up on a young tree. And watched me, watching (her I believe). She made these amazing soft sounds, and kept swiveling her head around keeping tabs on the neighborhood.
I didn't go near her, because I don't like forcing wild animals to vacate an area just because another nosy human's walking through. I watched her snooze a little, stare at me a little, stare around a little, then become very fixated on the sounds a squirrel was making a ways away.
It was awesome Odd too, since it was about 5:30pm, and there was still quite a bit of daylight. Thought I'd share!
This was the owl by the way - a barred owl:
Also saw an osprey at the same time, then as I headed back home a wee snake!

Maybe it was thinking "Whooo is that strange werewolf looking at me like that? I'm nobody's dinner!"
