It was reported some 10-15 years ago that people's children were being abducted and being killed by a man-wolf creature in a village in India. It was thought to be rabid wolves, but some victims claimed it was anthropoid and "man-like" standing on two legs. Of-course other descriptions made by victims contradicted it being werewolves and made the strong suggestion that it was a group of human assailants. Either way it sounded interesting at the time. Of course as the article below had noted India's vastly growing population has been encroaching on animal territory at a dangerous rate.
