Anyone hear anything about werewolves in upstate NY?

Perhaps you should look for the book "Body, Boots and Britches" (1940), by Harold W. Thompson, from which the following map comes:

Even if that were tangible, it was published the fourties. I'd question the validity of a map that is more than twice as old as I am.
I use the Oxford Hammond Consice Atlas of the world, they're absolutely fantastic, worth every cent. If you're looking for werewolves? Not so much. But I would be looking in different places anyway if you were looking for them.
A) I would want something up to date. A lot can change in sixty-eight years. Genocide of 30,000 people, for example. All happened rather suddenly, generally not mentioned on a map. Not the best analogy, but you should get the general idea.
B) Ask people. You'll find out more by getting down with the locals than you will talking to anyone on here.
Logically speaking? I think someone would have heard by now, considering the population in New York.

Actually, since dark_wulf73 posted their question in the Legends and Lore sections, odds are the book written in the 1940s would work just as well as a modern one, because those terms imply the past, not the present. Also, New York isn't as populated as people think, most of the population is in the New York City area.

Given how sporadic Jersey Devil sightings are, you'd almost think the creature itself could possibly be a "werewolf."
