Has anyone heard of this book? I haven't read it yet, but I think I might look into it, it seems quite interesting. Here's the amazon information for it: http://www.amazon.com/Sharp-Teeth-Toby- … 0061430226
But I can't figure out just from that if I'd like to read it or not. Has anyone read this book, and if so, is it any good? =/

Totally and utterly enjoyable. Incredibly funny at times, as well. As in "sitting at Wendy's alone on your lunchbreak, laughing hysterically to yourself while everyone else moves slowly away" funny.
Although, to be honest, if reading Homer in school annoyed or bored you, you'd probably not enjoy it very much.

Hmm, thanks, I think I'll check it out

I love this book! It sounds so much like me at times!

Loved it - written like a poem.

This is a great book. An epic werewolf tale written in poetic verse by one very talented writer. It's a lycanthropic Iliad, but don't let the poetic nature turn you off. It's a fast paced, fun read. Without a doubt the best werewolf novel written in the last decade.

Very good book, but not the best

What was the best, Montana? I'm always looking for the next good read.
I read Ravenous recently but was disappointed. The setup was neat and the core concept of lycanthropy being an STD was cool but the writing was poor. It was a slog to get through.

Well, the best is always a subjective thing. My best will always be The Wild by Whitley Strieber. Doesn't have a single ravenous (heh) werewolf in the 'Howling' sense of the term, but the transition from man to wolf for the main character was a fascinating journey.
I did very much enjoy Sharp Teeth, and the writing was clever and beautifully done.
Have you read Lonely Werewolf Girl? It wasn't something I thought I'd enjoy, but I was totally caught up in the whole ride.

I haven't read either of those but I'll take a look. I read Strieber's Wolfen but that was years ago. I wonder if it still holds up.
Werewolf Girl sounds fun.

Got this book last year....and it's really well done for the writters first book....

Liking all these titles I will have to try. I was recommended Sharp Teeth earlier in the year and am currently on my, what, fifth or sixth re-read. Adore this novel. Punchy, sharp, rip-roaring.
Though one thing: as I understood it, Sasha was the Unnamed Girl, the one dating Anthony, and in many of the reviews I've read it's indicated they are two separate entities. I took it that "Sasha" was the dark side, the secret life of the Unnamed Girl.
I might be wrong but..
