I feared so, but I don't think that Hindus or Buddhists even have werewolves, and isn't in those mythologies the werecreature often a case of possession rather than projection?
@chaotic wolf: Makes sense, but given that this generation is surely more influenced by the wiccan movement which is a modern model of how people think the pagan religions worked, I would assume that the concept of therians owes more to that than the original pagan believes.

I think that it is related when comparing mainstreamers, other than that, its assuming that wereism is a religious belief, rather than a born happening. I dont associate therians to any religion, per say, since there are Christian-weres, Jewish-weres, and Wiccan-weres, thus the underlying associate should dwell somewhere that of which is independent of religion.
But moving to something more on topic...
What are some questions you guys get from telling other people you guys are therians?

normally: "what's a therian" or "wow, I want to be a wolfie"(dont ask), what about you?

1) *blankly stares* "Are you serious?"
2) *Gives me a HARD look* "Um, Honey, are you ok? Sick or something" (those were two different friends of mine)
3) *Eyes light up* "Ok, well you can join our pack then!" *whispers* "watch out for a few vampires, stay clear of shannon." (that was a minor acquantance, and she was 12)
Seems like the older they get, the harder it is for them to accept something like that.
