Whitewolf's art

Well, I'm an artist. I just recently got a tablet for Christmas, and I'm still not very accustomed to using it. I've been doing hand drawn stuff all my life, so digital is a real change for me, so please don't criticize my stuff, I'm just starting out, and the programs I have aren't the best. =/ Corel Painter Essentails 4 is the best I've got. But enough about that, here's some things I've done.

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f385/Sheagra/redog-1.jpg
I did this yesterday, it's not my best, but eh. X.x; It's an illustration of Renfield as an emanciated, abused looking dog.

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f385/Sheagra/simonhawke.jpg
This is Simon Hawke for a storyline I have going that would be kind of hard to explain fully. Basically, he's from earily 1800's America, 23 years old, and was studying to be a lawyer before a werewolf attacked him, ripped half his face off, and scarred his neck and left leg, and turned him into a werewolf himself.

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f385/Sheagra/cadmus.jpg
This is Cadmus from the same storyline as Simon. He's a manticore, which is a mythical creature with the body of a lion, the tail of a scorpion, three rows of teeth, an inhumanly beautiful voice, and the face of a man. But I obviously took artistic liberties here, since he has the face of a lion and canine-esque ears.

Re: Whitewolf's art

I really like your style of drawing. And these characters seem intriguing, I'd love to learn more about them.

Re: Whitewolf's art

Thanks everyone. ^^ My current style for humans is continually shifting, so it's very flexible. This is just how I was drawing them at the time. =/ I've only been drawing humans a lot for only about...one year or two years, so I'm not the best, but I think I've come a long way.

Re: Whitewolf's art

Manticore? Cool. Did you know Manticores were originally named from an old Spanish Werewolf man who used to steal little children named the Mantiqueira?

Re: Whitewolf's art

Thanks for all the positive feedback guys! I'm glad too know people like my stuff! ^^ I don't know if you'd count wallpapers so much as art as...photoshopping, but I've made several wallpapers I'd like to share, if you don't mind. These were made in Corel Painter Essentails as well because I can't figure out how to make wallpapers on adobe photoshop element 6.0 quite yet. =/ So don't expect anything professional, but here they are.

Here's a drawing of a dragon character I have named Altan. I don't like this picture a lot, but I might as well show it.

Re: Whitewolf's art

The style of the dragon is nice, grabs the attention of the viewer with the leading lines that seem to point to the single yellow colored portion, it reminds me of The Hobbit

Re: Whitewolf's art

When I look at it I think of the dragon from Dragon's Lair.

Re: Whitewolf's art

I like this picture, but the lower jaw is to long. I should've noticed that before I finished it. >> http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f385/Sheagra/simonhawke2.jpg This is Simon Hawke as a werewolf, first month of having been infected with his lycanthropy, and he doesn't know how to control his instincts at all, so right now he's much like one of the "RAWRRR.GRRR.IEATYOU." werewolves you see in the movies.
