Currently try to read the third movie novelization (fourth entry to the series), but is it just me or does Cox's writing leave something to be desired this time around?
I mean the first two weren't exactly brilliant either but I loved Blood Enemy, and so far UIII is a huge disappointment, with an awful lectoring (lots of missing or doubled words).
And reading a sentence like:
"A shaggy blue-eyed laborer, who had been christened Xristo by his master..."
Come on, are you kidding me?
Aside from the idea of a Vampire 'christening' any of his slaves the use of "christened Christo" makes me long to send Cox a thesaurus.
Edit:
I worked my way past the half-way mark and finally the book is picking up, still don't like it much.
Sonja is portrayed as a behaving like a snotty brat that has to be constantly rescued by Lucian who she harbors a typical teen crush on.
I'd say Danny McBride stroke again!
On top of that you can simply tell that UIII was a rushed work. It certainly marks the low point of the series.
