howling at the moon, part of my nature. It relaxes me. I love to do it, especially when it is full.

Re: do you howl at the moon?

i dont know about you all but i think howling is a primal thing ya know. a "calling out" if you will that can be backed by what ever is going on (happy, sad, exited, lonely, ...).  it also for me is kinda like roll call in school when the teacher says your name and you say "here", howling is the same thing almost. it says im here and here is who i am. thats kinda my thought any way.

Meow at at the moon maybe? Sorry, had to be said! *pets Eon*

Me personally, I don't howl at the moon specifically. I agree with skinwalkers idea in some ways. I've howled before, but usually due to specific things...usually a feeling of being content or happy. Then again, I did have a phase where I just had spontaneous urges to howl, for no obvious reason...that was pretty odd.

Re: do you howl at the moon?

I don't howl at the moon, but I always say a silent prayer and give her the respect she deserves.

I DO however howl with my pack mates and at drum circle when the call arises.

Re: do you howl at the moon?

I've always wanted to but I've never because my parents would think I'm a wack-job. But I silently howl until I tell my parents of my possible Therianess... if thats a word... neutral

I've never really known how to howl... is it just natural? i've never tried...

Re: do you howl at the moon?

If I lived in a more secluded area, I have no doubt I would on a regular basis.  I get anxious feelings of being wound up or tied down in the late evenings and make regular drives on clear nights to catch glimpses of the moon away from my apt.  I haven't found a good place outside to unwind yet, which has been frustrating.  I have howled in the car before, but it just doesn't work for me.

Re: do you howl at the moon?

I never get the 'urge' to even though the moon is very pretty and kind of entrancing. But howls are reserved for finding pack-mates. Howling AT the moon is a more Hollywood construct.

Yeah, but I have to do it really softly because I don't want to attract any attention, not to mention freaking the neighbors
