Re: Werewolf Anthem

Hahah...I'm sure there would be many who'd disagree. Hmm...I wonder what everyone here thinks the 'Werewolf Anthem' should be?

"Within Temptation" - "The Howling" could also be a good candidate.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

I second the second.   Although I think Full Moon by Sonata Arctica would be great as well.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

Full Moon? For a Werewolf? If we wanted to send the message that we that Werewolves like to break out in musical or were stating in an anime show then yes I would agree with the Sonata Arcitica vote.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

Eh, suit yourself. I happen to really enjoy how the song plays through the traditional werewolf tale. wink

Re: Werewolf Anthem

But bark at the moon is. It's about a guy who's been cursed and buried. He uses his werewolf powers to break out and seek revenge on those who cursed him.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

Out of what's been suggested so far... I'm with "Bark at the Moon".

Most Awesome Moment Ever: Ozzfest 2007. Ozzy Osbourne opens his set with "Bark at the Moon". And it was a full moon big_smile

Definitely a werewolf anthem cool

Re: Werewolf Anthem

2 songs that AREN'T exactly werewolf related, but for me have that 'wolfie' feel to them for some odd reason (it's probably just me) are:

Low Red Moon ~ Belly
The Hanging Garden ~ The Cure

Although I think another candidate for it could be:

The Wolf Is Loose ~ Mastodon

Oh, I know the contents of the song. wink  It is an overall interesting song. I just happen to like the tale of tragedy that is played out in Full Moon, more so. It just hits a vibe I guess. smile Well to each his own.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

Ya i listened to it a few times and i understand the song more. The only reason I still stand by bark at the moon is because its more about Werewolf origins and Full moon is more of a tale told by the majority of Werewolves.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

Of Wolf and Man - MetallicA
DEFINITELY!
That song embodies all of the prime elements of being a werewolf, not a savage.
I.E., it talks about feeling the need to shift to run and feel the wind through your hair, about being one with nature. VERY awesome song. But Bark at the Moon is still awesome.

Re: Werewolf Anthem

I would have to say Metallica and Withing Temptation would capture my best imagination of being a werewolf, a savagery and yet the thrill of the power it's the light and dark side of us. Metallica is the light with the senses and the core, the top predator. Within Temptation is the dark, the savagery, the killing. Those a good choices I think

Metallica - Of Wolf and Man.
Moonspell - Wolfshade (A Werewolf Masquerade)/Full Moon Madness/Wolves From the Fog.
Iced Earth - Wolf.
Cradle of Filth - Queen of Winter, Throned. (The first couple minutes, haha)

Re: Werewolf Anthem

What about bad moon rising by CCR aka Creedence Clearwater revival or Werewolves in london by Warren Zevon? Both are great songs in my opinion and both have been used in werewolf films

I vote for Warren Zevon's tune. C'mon, a werewolf with a pina colada...doesn't get better than that.

I agree Bad Moon Rising is an great werewolf song. Its been around a long time and wont draw attention to humans if you're singing it.
