Looking for a particular type of music...

I like the idea of fantasy/werewolf themed rock.  The trouble is that what I find is not quite suiting.

In most cases, I find I like the music, but the vocals consist of that north European yawping/shrilling.  I like very few Cradle of Filth songs, though I do have two albums.  I want melodic vocals.  Think like Lacuna Coil or Oomph!, but with the aforementioned themes.

Any ideas?

Well Abney Park is a steam punk band and their music is very fantasy like. Its extremely far from what I would describe as werewolf music though.

I'll come down and get you high.  Maybe sing you a lullaby.  Sing you to sleep, a sleep you'll never wake from.  Sing you to coma, so to speak.

'Tis metal, but not melodic.

I would definitely second Dark Moor and Iced Earth. I have not listened to PowerWolf yet yikes

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILHXcQ8Ka4E <-- Some CoF that has some wolves in it.

Yeah, that's probably the best I can do right now.

Re: Looking for a particular type of music...

I have Midian and Cruelty and the Beast.  I bought Midian after CatB because I liked CatB and thought I'd like Midian.  I didn't care for Midian, however.

Thanks, all, I'll check out those links in a bit.

I've thought of something else you might want to take a gander at:

One song from the album "Wolfheart" by Moonspell

Here are some potential bands for you to check out. Not sure if any of them focus on werewolves as a theme, though.

Humanity is dust, within humility's splendor. I offer you the emptiness which you seek. Let go of the tangible mass of your mind.

If bullshit were music, you'd be a big brass band.
