They'd both get slaughtered, intestines and other assorted innards strewn all over the ground. "Twilight" fangirls would cry, everyone else would cheer.

Havn't seen this yet surprisingly. I think I saw it advertised somewhere but I was too busy rushing off to a party to really look unfortunately.

He's shown off 3d character sketch work with ZBrush before. Supposedly he put together a transformation approach with practical fx that was scrapped. He expressed disappointment that they chose to use cg instead. Hopefully they include a behind the scenes clip with his practical test on dvd/bluray.
The brief shots of cg in the trailer look much better than the work in Van Helsing, though the big googly eyeball shot is awkward.

Agree with the googly eyeball thing

Indeed, the look of the character is great. I'm glad they decided to keep some indication of his human hair style in the werewolf. That always bugged me about other werewolf movies. I'm like, "okay that wolf guy has fur all over now, but what happened to his dreadlocks, or how did that wolf lady's perm get restored all nice and frizzy when she changed back?" Details matter.

Cripes, that bothers me too!

Here's an interview with Hugo Weaving.
I particularly agree with his last comments.

Definitely agree with his last comments! I guess as long as the hold up is due to making it a better film (perfecting the CGI and whatever) then I can handle that... although it's a bit like waiting for Christmas-- just hurry up!

Wow, this film looks amazing I'll definatly have to see it but first I might have to watch the original version.
