slowly one by one the girls there start turning into werewolves.

just curious what does this have to do with werewolves?

May be sweet, but I'm not hoping for too much, considering that the movie is a ring of three or four short stories so the story involving the werewolves are probably short. Will it actually be coming out on Halloween?

okay update with this movie is that it was postponed because whoever thought that Saw 4 would blow it out of the water. So it's going to come out in 2008. Halloweenish perhaps? maybe even September. I don't know maybe b/c I'm not in school anymore that I'm not as in the Halloween spirit during October. I'm usually in it more during September, but that's down south, when I'm in NYC it's all decorations and stuff, i love it. (sorry off topic)
but that's the update. i was impressed with the trailer and i love anna paquin, so... And i think one of the guys from High School Musical or something is in the movie.

Where'd you hear that?

Updates. Okay so Anna Paquin (True Blood and X-Men's Rogue) isn't the REd riding hood vs. the wolf.
New trailer should be coming out
this is (as of now) going straight to dvd I think in September. It's supposed to be (for sale reasons) a cult classic. How the heck do you make something a cult classic? I thought it was supposed to become a cult classic (by fans, not by movie studios. ) ooohhh well
and there's a comic book in limbo I saw the cover.
there's merchandise out there (probably rare editions now)

okay just found out this is based on the director's cartoon clip (i guess for a school project back when?) It's on youtube called Season's Greetings (michael doughtery) might not have spelled the last name right

The ending confuses me. Someone explain?????? was there a good guy/bad guy or am I looking into it too much?

This looks way awesome. I bet its gonna have some pretty startling moments too with that thing crawling on the ceiling. I can't wait to see the werewolf tear somebody apart though.

While it's by no means an instant classic, this was not a bad little film at all. It's an anthology of four different stories that connect in various ways, with some events shown out of order to give it a "Pulp Fiction" feel, but not so complicated that it's hard to figure out what's going on. It reminded me a lot of the movie "Creepshow" and the tv series "Tales From the Darkside", with each story being very moralistic. Besides the werewolf gals, there's a serial killer, a vampire (sort of), and a group of zombies, all pretty much traditional, plus "Sam", a childlike figure in orange footy pajamas with a button-eyed sack over his head. He's the only original monster, and nifty enough that he could probably support an entire movie on his own (wait'll you get a look at what's under that mask!).
If you're only watching this for the werewolves, don't bother. From the Little Red Riding Hood costume and lame dialog like, "Mom always said she was the runt of the litter." it's completely bloody obvious what's going to happen. The werewolf story seems shoved into the interconnected storyline, with Sam not even making an appearance. There are only brief glimpses of the fully transformed beasts, which look like leftover puppet heads of the long-snouted version of werewolves in "Underworld", as they have the same bizarre squared-off muzzle design Tatopoulis used in that. I sincerely suspect that's exactly what they are, recycled props. Oh well! At least the transformation was interesting, with the female lycanthropes first stripping off their Halloween costumes, and then their human skin to reveal furry pelts beneath.
The other stories are of varying quality. The murderous school principal one felt like it was trying to be comedy, but there wasn't enough clear character motivation to make much sense of it. The best story by far concerned an incredibly mean-spirited prank on an autistic girl which is tied to a story about a bus driver in the 50's who'd been bribed by parents to kill off their mentally retarded kids because they were tired of dealing with them. I felt this could have easily been expanded to be the main plot, ditching the less imaginative werewolf/vampire/killer stuff.
Overall, a decent, rather retro horror anthology and worth a watch.
