A Hobbit's Journey


A hobbit on a journey
weary are his feet
tired is his body
he cannot sleep
on he must plod
through the mist
still he will nod
till he can end his list.

Of home he thinks
to fall into sleep
to rest out the kinks
in the lonely and loved
home under hill.

Of the good ole' pony* he longs
the soft beds and brown beer
to sing his songs
of journies queer
then back to his lonely
home under hill.
