Ah, I thought so, but I wasn't positive. Thanks! So another random question, what did you think of the book?

I had an opportunity to read this book over the summer. I had not read such a deep book in quite a long time. It really did get the my head moving with ideas and questions.

Reading these different ways others can 'P-shift' as you call it, is very interesting. It's very different from my own.

Well, webcams are easily available and you can get one for quite cheap, so if any of you actually achieve this, please film yourselves doing it.

Re: P-shifters

I dont know. most of us here have mental shifts, and not many claim to be p-shifters (full body physical shifts)

Re: P-shifters

Huh. Some clarification:

When you have vivid dreams of being an animal, and evidence of things that physically happen to that animal show up on your body, you are not becoming a "ghost" animal. You are projecting your soul into the body of a living animal and riding it throughout the night (or day if it's on the other side of the world). Depending on the strength of the psychic connection, injuries to the animal can be transfered to your body. Most people say they can't control the animal because they haven't undergone any spiritual or mental training. But even if you go out and start training and trying to control your host animal - really ask yourself the question, am I doing an ethically, spiritually moral thing?

It's called astral projection and it exists. Apparently it feels like lucid dreaming, but it's real. My brother practiced it, but almost died when the coyote he was "riding" got hit by a truck. His heart stopped. He doesn't do it anymore.
Apparently if you attained complete control of your consciousness, you would be able to send your soul out to the animal during waking hours. I guess it would be sort of like a deep meditation.

There are huge risks involved though. If you don't know how to protect yourself in the spirit world, leaving your body like that leaves you wide open to getting your body possessed by ghosts, demons, you name it. When you tried to come back to your human body you would find it already occupied. My brother knew how to protect himself but he heard some guesome stories about what happened to people who tried without protection. The spirit world is full of things that have  no physical body but REALLY REALLY REALLY want one.

I've never heard of people who could willfully change their physical body, but I suppose it is possible. Indian yogis and rare secretive sects of Tibetan monks have long ago plumbed the depths of the capabilities of the human mind. My question is - what do you get out of it? Yay! My teeth are sharp! I would rather fix my cavities.

*before anyone flames me*

I've had 20 cavities filled in the last year.
I'm serious
