Artist Brian Cuprisin

Part of Brian's bio:
"Born and raised Chicago native I have always had a passion for all types of art. As far back as I can remember my passion not so much for the fine arts but street art "graffiti". I thought that that kind of style was so interesting. A person can look at a blank wall or train and make something creative out of it. I know a lot of people would beg to differ with me but I think that is amazng. Growing up I did attend as much art classes in high school. Right after high school I attended American Academy of Art in Chicago. At the Academy of Art I was so bored with what art school was all about. Painting stills and fruit bowls was not for me. That was not art. Art to me is what is inside you. This is how you look at the ways of life through your own eyes.

My paintings are bold and a story is behind each piece; from my life experiences to my own impression. I use a mixture of oil, acrylic, oil pastels and spray paint in all my work.  Some work I use dry wall sheets as a painting medium because canvas was so expensive. Dry wall board gives a nice smooth surface to work with and also is very pliable with any medium you use. I like to fill my pallet with an assortment of all colors and create my own as I go along. Taking a blank piece of canvas and creating something out of my mind is such a personal mind blowing experience. My style of what I can create is unique in my own way. Unique because I have had no professional training, but self taught I keep on learning each and every day the more of a chance I have to create art. I call my work Flying Color. Flying Color because I feel that once the paint escapes the brush onto the canvas it flies from one end to the other at my control. Sometimes the color just flies on its own. The end result speaks for itself..."

Brian does do commission artwork, anything you would like to post to Brian can be posted here and we will get the message to him.

Brian also states in his bio:
"If you have a trip that you have taken, place that you have been to, or just something fun, I can incorporate it in a painting collage for you to enjoy and keep that happy memory."

Any news of Brian opening a website will be posted in this forum.

Brian will be a featured artist for the July full moon phase.

Yes, when the site is open it should be on the "art" menu.

LOL!!! no it was my poor attempt at humor....big_smile anyway...I noticed he said he liked to paint street art....I saw a few pictures of an artist who did some work that when you look at it in a certain angle it appears 3 dimensional....has he done any of that? Those are really cool to see...

Are the words and objects like layered in colors or shades of colors along the edges to make them 'pop" more, or b lackened? is that what you mean?

Re: Artist Brian Cuprisin

I wish I had kept that email so you could see....no...and of course I'm no artist but looking at it the "wrong" way...the dimensions are huge but if you move to the other side it appears large but no so bad.

Aye, Birmingham's in Alabama........unless it's in Great Britain. In that case, it's in England. It's the largest city in Alabama and the second largest city in England........uh, you did want to know all that, didn't you?

Re: Artist Brian Cuprisin

I dunno about Great Britian and I only know about Alabama indirectly. The Weres in Birmingham tend to be cagey. I know of three there, I probably don't know about nearly all there is.

There's two in Tuscaloosa that I know personally. There's five in Chilton County that I know personally. Those are fairly close to Birmingham. I don't know if the two Weres in Childersberg still live there or not. I haven't heard from them in about a year. They have been Birmingham residents but tend to drift a lot.

I know The Admin for the site is working on something regarding your pictures for the next full moon phase.  The images need to be "hosted" somewhere I think.

I think most people host images at www.photobucket.com so you may want to do that too.  I will post to a few people here to check this forum to give advice too.

Re: Artist Brian Cuprisin

Coolness.  I just posted a post in the "HOT! HOT! HOT! WEREWOLF NEWS!" forum topic for people to give you some advice on hosting and posting images, as you'll probably want to do something like that if you want to put your images on different websites over the internet.
